iCal sync override

I currently use Tripadvisor, AirBnB and Homeaway, and have my own and my agent's calendars. I had set a number of these to sync but there are occasions where, due to lack of flexibility on a particular website, I want to block off dates on that calendar but leave the dates free on the others. Is the...

Am I mad?

With all the changes going on, we're still trying to up our bookings, as a new start. We are on our own website, AirBnB, HL, and our agent's site. Looking at HA because of its wider reach. But I notice in the UK change of conditions it says (for pay-per-booking) "We're reducing the cost of pay-...

Shortage of fuel

OH and I will be leaving at the end of the week to travel by car from Scotland to SW France via Paris. I contacted my Parisian friend to see whether to believe the British media, and she was very reassuring, but we're still a bit anxious for the Paris ->Lot-et-Garonne leg......

Edinburgh Bookings Down

I agree about the lottery, Russell - when I've been trying to look at market rates, I've found it really frustrating that e.g. sleeps 4 is set as a minimum, and there are just loads of unsuitable properties that you have to wade through in a "low to high price" filter. I've actually been i...

Edinburgh bookings down

Hi Honeysuckle, Thanks for your input. £30 per night wouldn't cover the cost of the cleaners, and I'd certainly not be willing to risk my flat for that! Glad that your bookings are picking up. I've had a few "tyre-kickers" recently through airbnb so there's some interest, but getting anxio...

Slowly does it

We're new to the game, but have been surprised at the lack of take up, especially for July. May was (relatively) OK and June weekends are all right, but despite lowering prices, finding it hard to get on the ladder at all. We advertise through our agent, Airbnb and Holidaylettings.

AirBnb Alternative Customer Service routes

Thanks, Kevinsba

Meantime, I messaged them on twitter (having posted a comment on fb) and they got back to me by phone within about an hour.

I now have a UK customer service number: +44 2033181111

Cheers

Still can't find way of contacting

Hi Kevsboredagain, I have tried various ways through help -> FAQs to reach customer service, and I'm finding nothing. Just takes me to the community page. I have signed up for instant booking, with pre-verification and only guests recommended by hosts, and have just today received an instant booking...

Encryption

Just use the encrypted string in place of your email address. If you have a contact form you may not even need to display your email address on your site at all.
Thanks - will probably just create link to contact form.

Thanks for comments!

ChrisP - yes, had changed url from "book now" to "availability-and-prices" and hadn't updated the button. Now fixed. Not sure what you mean by the changing size when clicking links left? I'm actually trying to install a lightbox for enlarged photos on click at present. As far as ...

yellow boxes and access information

on the 2016 availability page at the top of the table there is a yellow box that says 'available' and a red box that says 'booked'. Sorry, Ian, I see it now. Had looked at that page several times and hadn't noticed it! When you say access information, do you mean directions to the property? Yes, ju...

Kevsboredagain's comments

Thanks for your comments, kevsboredagain. Can I ask what device you're using to view the photos etc? I'm using a Mac Thunderbolt screen which is a bit of a brute, and the resolution is OK. What do you mean by scaled down? I have changed the resolution on Photoshop to make it web optimised. Isn't tha...

Book Now Button

Thanks, AndrewH The "book now" button appears on every page and links to the "Book Now" page that contains the interactive calendar. Perhaps "Book Now" for the button text is too off-putting. I think I'll change it to "Pricing and Availability" with the same l...
