Re: VRBO asking for more payment details

Thanks for the reply. I logged in and checked my account details and all seemed fine. The payment turned up a few days later before I had chance to get onto them about it. Most weird. :?

VRBO asking for more payment details

Has anyone else had an email from VRBO asking for more payment details? I had guests check in yesterday and today I got an email saying "We need more information to send you payouts". I checked this on the website in case of a scam and the same thing came up. I went through the payment for...

I'm interested in replies to this too. My holiday cottage has E7 night storage heaters. They're not really useful at all for holiday guests as they dump all their heat earlier in the day when the guests are usually out and the cottage is then getting chilly again by evening when they get back so the...

Yes, I always ensure I have the full address details of guests. Everyone staying, not just the person booking. It seems to me that this would be very important, not just re. payment etc. but supposing there was some kind of accident and I needed to notify someone. How can I do that if I don't know f...

Independent Cottages have an article concerning different types of license's that are required for holiday home owners. Reading this article it would seem holiday home owners may also require a licence if they have a radio in the holiday let, I was unaware of this requirement. Hope this helps. http...

MPLC licence?

I've just had a letter from MPLC (Motion Picture Licensing Company) saying that I require a licence. They say they have contacted me before about this which is not actually true, this is the first contact I've ever had from them (just noticed the address is completely wrong so probably any previous ...

I decided eventually to close for the remainder of the year and cancel/postpone existing bookings. Most guests had already cancelled or postponed anyway, so I didn't have much left for this year. I was prepared to make changes that would hopefully work for safety of guests and us, but my partner has...

Paypal has Virtual Terminal that lets you take card payments by phone. I don't know how the fees compare with any other service though. Details are here:

I also have one of these reviews. Three stars and I'm sure this person never stayed with us. It's an unusual name I think I'd remember and I can't find them anywhere in my records. I reported it to Google but they never got back to me. I'm thinking of replying and saying the guest never stayed. Stra...

Is anyone else (except the problems with Wales) still waiting for any information from their LA about the grant? Think I might have to contact Herefordshire to see if I can find out what's going on as we've still not heard anything :(

We changed to Ash Waste services after reading the earlier post. It costs us £168 for 50 trade waste sacks which they collect weekly as and when we put them out. No sorting required, everything goes in the sack. Works much better for us, as we don't know from one week to the next exactly how much wa...

Herefordshire - no application procedure. Their website said in March that they would be in touch by letter with businesses who are eligible for the grant and we shouldn't contact them. Nothing from them so far...

My council (Herefordshire) doesn't seem to have an online application. They haven't posted any new info so I guess I need to wait for them to send out a letter or something? You need to go to the authority that collects council tax and business rates. This is typically your district council not you...
