Hi, can anybody give me some advice re business rates please? I have one small cottage for which I get business rates relief so pay nothing. Now I have set up another cottage on our farm which is bigger, and I have just picked myself up off the floor having received my business rates demand (2.6K). ...

We have one holiday cottage on our farm running well, and we also have a residential cottage. We are thinking about turning it into a holiday cottage too but I can't get any sense out of my local council - talk about exasperating! Nobody can/will tell me the rateable value or what the business rates...

Thanks, I thought they might be new and different but that doesn't sound too good.

Oh well, keep looking!

I am thinking of going with them - seems to be the way of doing things now and I am very disillusioned with the more established agents. Anyone actually using them at the moment?
