Guest sent me 3 messages in short succession "cancelled?" "Is this a mistake?!" "Hello????" so I simply said that due to personal circumstances I had to cancel and that the listing company have said they would assist finding somewhere else.

UPDATE Oh my goodness - Airbnb have been fab! I called up and explained the situation. They said that whilst this does not fall under their extenuating circumstances policy, in light of the concerns of potential use of the Cottage, on this occasion they will allow the reservation to be cancelled wit...

I think I will give Airbnb a ring later to see what they say. I will let y'all know! I don't know how I feel about chatting with the dude...can you imagine if he took it as a signal to invite us to join the movie production! Ha ha. Yes, the Cottage is a converted granny annexe next to our home so we...

I second Out of Eden. Fairtrade Tea Bags, and Coffee in a Bag all going down well with guests. The individual shampoo / conditioner / shower gel also go down well.

Delivery cost is outweighed by the overall faff of having to source all the bits individually from elsewhere.

Oh help...what do I do!

Second post, more advice needed if I'm not getting on everyone's nerves. (I promise this is not my normal style and that I intend responding to other people's posts and not just being a parasite allllll the time!). I am such an idiot. Rookie mistake... I advertise through Airbnb, and had an enquiry ...

Thank you all for the warm welcome! So basically, it's a resounding 'yes' from everyone - we've been reasonable. Husband says I worry too much and he wanted to charge more. Probably because it was him doing all the hard work pressure washing the patio on a hot day when he'd rather have been splashin...

Deducting from damage deposit

Hi all, this is my first post although I have been a long time lurker / reader. I was hoping to get some other owner views as I am doubting myself. Had a couple stay at our holiday cottage a couple of weeks ago. We (husband and I) had taken the standard £150 damage deposit. The guests left us a love...
