Yes, that's been my problem as well with Booking.com. I'm thinking of leaving them.

I'm not sure the page views are real or just any number they're sticking in. What I am sure of is my enquiries and bookings are seriously down. If it wasn't for my repeat guests, I would be in big trouble.

I think it's a waste of time and energy trying to figure out what's going on with all these websites, we'll only know when it happens.

Same here. Some days my ads say they have been viewed 53 times and other days not at all. Other nice homes which should be viewed have the same thing. Nothing consistent about it at all.

You surely can't believe that old tosh cleanforum? I'd wager my last penny that it is complete fiction, much along the same lines as the airlines have done for ages (only 2 seats remaining at this price!!!!) Let visitors think that loads of others are looking at the same things & rush them into...

I'm in Florida AndrewH but I think all owners everywhere are affected. Probably potential guests are reading all the bad publicity and avoiding the big websites.

Thanks PW but I've just been on the HomeAway forum and there's a lot of people on there complaining of the same thing. Also, when I check other peoples listing in my area, their rates are gone too.

Just checked again and all my rates are still gone. The 'view all prices is gone' and when I click on the price tab at the top, there is nothing. No wonder I have no enquiries!

My enquiries and bookings are way down too, I am normally inundated in January, so much so that I can only take Saturday to Saturday bookings. All different this year, probably because guests don't want to pay the 6% to 9% service fees. The websites have changed so much, they are of little use to me...

Has anybody noticed that their rates have disappeared from their adverts on HomeAway? Mine has and I'm unable to get any answers. I wonder if it's temporary or a permanent change? I know I'm not getting any enquiries.

And, I read that they're going to block the phone numbers of people enquiring until they have already booked online.

I agree with AngloDutch, the quotable rates just don't work. They don't allow for extras like pool heat, cleaning etc. So the guest thinks we're trying to rip them off when we give them the correct figure.
