You can stop anytime you want. I tried it and got bookings but I don't know if I wouldn't had them if not the program.

I have most of my clients from booking.com. Works great for me. It's also said:
"We’re sorry but our free commission programme is currently on hold, please come back soon. You can still track your previous rewards below."

I was interesting to have it activate when it's low season and taking away before the summer (our high season)

I have the same interested.
I can used it if it was a big boost of booking but not interesting if it's too little difference.

I agree I got 25% discount last time when booking direct at the hotel and saying that I saw X euro on booking.com what can you offer if booked direct.
So many clients that are not doing it, I don't understand people...

my place is an apartment that can sleep up to 8 persons. I have around 70-80% of my business from booking.com

If you have several rooms yes I agree but if you have one room I don't think it can be any problems.

I have also different cancelation policies compare to booking.com

Why not putting an higher price on booking.com so if you have guests it's worth it.
