Hi, did you manage to get a meter? I was offered one by SWW but didn't take it up. I think I should get one. I have a 3 bedroom cottage holiday let and am being given charged £84.99 per month for water. I've been empty most of the low season so this is assume would have cost alot less on a meter. I ...

Thank you!! I'm not actually sure who owns the company anymore. I think it might actually be owned by Sykes now. I never once got a response from the named MD and I don't think he is there anymore!

That is interesting because I am in the process now of moving to Cottages.com. I've also been told I don't have to accept all bookings as long as I have good reason. That is fare enough. I understand anyone can book online. The problem with HH was finally sorted last week. Following a letter from me...

I know they are lieing I've told EASCO that too. I've been told by solicitors that you don't get the costs back at small claims it could cost me possibly £8000!

I will definitely be writing a legal letter to them. They haven't heard the last from me.

Unfortunately negotiations with the help of EASCO have not gone well. They are denying all knowledge of Cornwall Housing being involved. However the contact details given on the booking confirmation form is Cornwall Housing. It seems I am stuck in the situation of leave and pay or just stay put for ...

Hi, thank you I hadn't thought of my own home insurance. If I end up having to go that way I will definitely give them a call. I hope your issue gets sorted too. It does give lots of sleepless nights! !

Very good point. I'd not thought of it that way. I think I would be wise to get help with a legal letter pointing out these things. Definitely more to think about!! Thank you.

A solicitor said we could argue the dictionary definition. It would just cost too much to take them to court. Hopefully a strongly worded letter would work and put the off. I do wonder if they have been in this situation before.

I've tried to talk to them. They say things like it's discrimination to refuse people and that my definition of holiday maker is different to them. I'm going to try EASCO tomorrow and see if they can help 😊.

Thank you for the advice so far. Useful ideas!
