Re: Anyone have experience with Amivac.com?

Hi all, I wonder if anyone here has an advert on amivac? The site came highly recommended by a neighbour in France, who got pretty much all of his bookings through the site. I signed up in early November and went smoothly. When I looked up the advert at the end of November I could no longer find it ...

it's been a little while since this thread had an update - is anyone on the forum advertising on simplyowners and if so, what's your success been with the site? They are currently trying to increase their listings by offering 18 months for the price of 12, but at very close to £300 I am somewhat wea...

just found this old thread and thought I would add my blog to it - the articles are all relevant to the area around Saint-Chinian: www.midihideaways.wordpress.com

I've just spoken to someone at HA and have been told that they will not be making the guest details available to me, despite the fact that I do not have online booking enabled. That was "hidden" to protect the privacy of the prospective guest and myself, apparently. It sounds as though the...

just looked at my last enquriy - no e-mail address nor telephone number showing, and I don't have online booking as far as I know. But then I also did not have auto renewal set up, and that was slipped in... definitely a dodgy business model!!

I had an e-mail from French Stays Direct, offering me a paid advert for either 29 or 79 Euros. Am wondering if any of you had any luck with the site so far??

As for Belgian websites, I tried a year on vacancesweb.be, which did not produce anything!

vacationapart dot com

I was offered a free listing on this site, and fool that I sometimes am, decided to take it up. Found out afterwards that the site is run by the same guy who had secondcasa - ring any bells ?? :) Anyhow, the ad is still there, no enquiries as yet, and I'm not expecting any. I'm wondering what I'll b...

I've been advertising on this site for some time now, and it's been pretty effective. The parent site is traum-ferienwohnungen.com - not cheap to advertise on any more, but the site has brought results - in the main German holiday makers, with a few English speakers here and there.

Hi Steve, I just came across this thread a little while ago. You have my full sympathy - I had a very similar experience to yours some years ago. Over the course of the stay of the guests, it became clear that what they were after was a half price holiday. They complained about everything they could...

Our place tends to book up 12 - 18 months in advance so I find it obscene that there is a charge for the listing, plus a commission, plus a service fee, plus 12 - 18 months interest. I guess there is no charge for commission if you pay a listing fee, but I've yet to see when they release the funds ...

For all of you who were not able to take the time to listen to the live Q&A session, here's the link: https://hosting.wistia.com/medias/iofm2akisl It's not really live, as nobody is able to ask live questions, but we can hear that they are reading the answers live! It sounds as though Best Match...

Anyone heard of vacationcasas dot com?

Hi all, just had a call from David Williams from a number in Denmark, trying to sign me up to this website. Heavy Indian accent, promising lots of Scandinavian travellers in the off season period. Sounds suspiciously like sunnyrentals. Anyone else had any calls, or has anyone listed with them? They ...

You may be interested to know - they had an overwhelming response to their e-mail and have completed the study. So there are a lot of people out there for whom messages like that ring absolutely no alarm bells :)

I had a call back from HA this afternoon, once they had heard back from their US office. Apparently the market research is totally bona-fide and not a scam. I'm glad I asked though - rather safe than sorry!!

Would have been better if they had phrased their opening gambit a little better :)
