Thanks for the replies. The potential guests seem to have vanished now, but you've given me advice I can use with the estate agent. We've already worded the advert to say that the property is set up for rentals, in case someone is looking to buy with that in mind.

If I accept summer guests what happens if I manage to sell?

Amazingly, I've just had an enquiry via Spain Holiday, even though I'm leaving them. What would others do about accepting a potential booking for July, when it's possible I might have sold the house by then? Equally, it's just as likely it won't have sold, so I don't want to turn down rentals - even...

Do you not think the Spanish Government will have a rethink? I think the phrase ‘cutting your nose off to spite your face’ springs to mind. Surely they don’t want all the Brits to sell up and return to the UK? I really believed that they would make some changes that would help benefit the Brits. Un...

Impossible to rent now as non-resident in Spain

We just came back from a quick visit to our house in Andalucia. I was so upset at the tax liability now, post-Brexit, that I have to put it on the market. I was only able to rent, mostly to Spanish people, over July/August. To find that the total income was taxable in T3, at 24%, not a penny of dedu...

I agree it all gets worse. The email was sent out yesterday, offering webinars today - in morning, or tomorrow - in evening. Neither of which I can do. I've emailed to ask why they're only offering so few - with such an enormous change underway. Now I've checked my calendar and all available except ...

She confirmed that its is possible to keep with Spain-Holiday until your subscription expires, in my case June 2022, that's what I will do then I will have to make my decision on what to do there after.. As far as I am concerned I will not be signing...

You're right. I just checked online. I've also had barely anyone looking at our property, on their site, for the last few weeks! I'd assumed maybe because the Brits not travelling, but perhaps it's all gone/going under? Now I wish I hadn't taken out their expensive new model of advertising last year!

Marks is correct though there are some airlines that are asking for a neg PCR test before they will let on the plane! That's weird and awful. Do you know which airlines? I've just completed our Spain Health forms and we've got the NHS app showing the vaccinations. We might have to help any guests w...

Which airline was that? We're heading out to Spain to visit our house in a few days. I've been obsessively searching to find out if we have to have a fit-to-fly test, but the Ryanair site says we don't. A friend went to Majorca a couple of days ago, on Ryanair, and only had to fill out the Spanish H...

Here's a link to Which that suggests it is more likely in France than in Spain but not certain. Thanks for the link to the Which article. Now I realise you were only referring to people going to stay at a friend's or family's home. What bothers me is that even if Spain gets to the 'green light', th...

Wouldn't their booking form, from BdC, ABB, SpainHol, etc be sufficient? That would surely give evidence of their payment to stay for a limited holiday period (plus return flight or ferry ticket). I haven't seen the articles you mention, as I don't read those newspapers. But maybe the Sunday Times w...

How did they manage to find your phone number? All this sound like a website to avoid, for the time being at least. I had a phone call from the same Denmark number the other day, completely out of the blue. I'm grateful to the forum that I knew about them and just said I didn't want to discuss it, ...
