I've just had problems, not with my own guests, but those of the people next door. Two teenage boys constantly played football in the corridor outside the flats, and an elderly man continually peered through my kitchen window, darting away if he saw that I'd seen him. I didn't know what nationality ...

Good idea, Pepsi. Now, can you say that in Swedish?

I'm with Pepsi completely on this. I'm not on site, so I can't check after every guest, but I usually go out 3 or 4 times a year (the pleasures of retirement!) and I do count and check all cutlery and crockery to see if I'm short of anything. Inexplicably, and counter to the experience of most peopl...

Gosh. I've been away from the forum for a while, but when I pop back in it's obviously got very exciting! Crossbows, air-rifles - and on another thread, attacking guests with knives and teeth! And I just write crime fiction.

I did have a woman who rang me and said she was concerned that the location of my apartment sounded very Spanish (it's in Spain, so...). However she still booked and told me after that they'd had a lovely time, so maybe she'd managed to broaden her horizons a bit.

I like Casscat's reply, too.

Actually this reminds me of reading through CVs for a job application and one had written at the bottom: PS I know Teddy Taylor (Southend's MP at the time). Needless to say we didn't interview him!

Perhaps it was one of these who, when asked on Pointless which William wrote Hamlet replied 'William Tell'.

It seems to be working for me OK. However, I think they've had some problems, because earlier on today I couldn't get through to my availability calendar, but it seems to be fine now.

Hope you feel better, Nemo. What a time to start feeling lousy. I don't think this constant bitter cold helps, either. We were in Aldeburgh last weekend and walking along the seafront was almost impossible if you were facing into the wind. The cold just bit into your cheekbones and the wind made you...

Ian and Irene, that website is nothing to go on, as I didn't set it up. However, I like the youtube thing so I'll look at that when I have time tomorrow morning. Thanks for that. I forget Youtube and it's brilliant - you can get instructions for just about anything. The other day I was struggling to...

Saving images for web

Can anyone help me, please? Up to now I've always just used high res. images on my website or Flckr, FB etc. People keep telling me I shouldn't do that, but I don't know how to change them. I don't want to lose the original file, either. I'm using Elements 7 and I have been into the Help section but...
