Our August looked a bit thin until we had an influx of late bookings. Overall this year we have had less English and more Belgians and Dutch.

Quite a few last minute bookings, including drop ins.

Re: Table d'hôtes and children

After last night's 2 French children of two and a half and four I feel we should discourage children altogether.......but maybe I'm feeling a bit jaded after several days of 1 nighters and rather too much room cleaning, changing beds etc! Jan Most kids are fine but there are one or two I'd have hap...

Adult price €22.00, children 11 and under €11.00, babies under 1 free. A good many older children eat as much as an adult.

For small children with an early bedtime we sometimes offer a pasta dish and ice-cream served at 6.30 pm. Same price as the ordinary tdh.

We just offer kir, and that's it. Usually do a bowl of nibbles as well - peanuts or walnuts from our own trees if it is a smaller group.

Agree with what others have said. If they are decent people they will expect to pay the full rate. After all, they booked the room and they gave you no opportunity to re-let it! I take it their luggage is still in the room?

We've had quite a few wedding parties over the years and unless we have people coming in we don't usually try to shift them early  . The difficulty comes in peak season when we have to get them up and on their way. However, we find that most people, when told we have guests coming in so they mu...

Poulpe, I take the whole lot off. I'll hold my hand up and admit that I'm not 100% sure if this is right but after hubby and I struggling through the explanatory notes this was the conclusion we came to.

Might have guessed that it wouldn't be as simple as the guy said. I'll wind myself up to give them a ring tomorrow.

Good luck!

Might be a good idea to double check this. My understanding is that you put in the total amount of cotisations minus the part of the URSSAF cotisation that relates to CSG/CRDS. That amount will be listed on the back of the form URSSAF send you showing your total cotisations for the year.

Hi Brenda, The blessed St Delia has quite a lot of veggie recipes on her site at www.deliaonline.com . The UK Vegetarian Society offers a lot of good recipes here: http://www.vegsoc.org/cordonvert/recipes/index.html As Tansy says, the BBC Food site is very good, too. They have a helpful page with do...

Thanks for posting this, Jan.

Our copy of that issue arrived this morning. Will have a look at the article you mention. From what you say it sounds as if those of us who already have licences will be OK.
