Air Conditioning

Good job I stopped renting a couple of years ago then! I got so fed up with Owners Direct being anything but, and since losing my husband, the stress of keeping the house and garden immaculate for clients on my own, was too much. Now I just enjoy spending time there with my friends. I like to keep u...

Air conditioning

We were not re-selling electricity, we sold the use of the air conditioning units which we owned!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Air Conditioning

I think the sales of these could go through the roof shortly: http://www.meteorelectrical.com/20-100-amp-eurp-coin-electronic-lcd-timer-meter.html When we fitted aircon we also fitted the meter so clients could pay as and when they needed to use air conditioning. Never had any moans and also never h...

Airbnb & Homeaway fined by Barcelona Town Hall

Just seen an article in 'The Olive Press' - Barcelona Town Hall has apparently fined Airbnb & Homeaway €60,000 for advertising accommodation that wasn’t authorised by the Registry of Catalan Tourism.

Banks

I have an account with Deutsche Bank, I have to pay in €600 a month and use my debit card twice a month, (if in UK I buy a cheap kindle book or other item from Amazon or eBay) plus have a couple of direct debits going out. No bank charges for these conditions and I've found them at my local branch t...

Fit a meter and let guests pay as they go. Works really well, and its interesting how little they actually need to use it!

Regarding potential loss of reviews from TA. What's to stop you copying them across to a new listing and just include in your general description of the property.

They are your reviews not TA's after all!

Gran Hotel Lar, is less than 10 mins walk from Santa Justa Railway Stn. There is parking but they charge. Stayed out of season paid 30 euro for one night for two of us. It claims to be 4 star and might have been once, bit shabby but generally the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and we just n...

A new rental listing site for privately owned properties.

Folks you are going off topic!

I'm trying here to get as many people to agree that a new rental listing site it is needed, preferably one that really does deal with owners directly.

My hope is that someone in a position to create such a site, will read this and act!!!

A new rental listing site for privately owned properties.

Who else wants one? One that will list our rentals. Nothing else. No fancy services, booking systems/verification/review systems/calendars/flight offers/Brownie points and definitely no date based searches, which effectively hide some properties not available for dates entered. Which means we pay fo...

Sunscreen stains

Ariel Stain Remover & Whitener, a newish product that appeared last summer I think.

Got all my sheets and towels etc., back to white again - lovely.

Also use Lidl W5 Limpiador Desengrasante Multiusos (in orange bottle) for spot/stain removal on clothing etc., use like Shout/Vanish.

If I am looking to book a holiday home, my preference is to book a property direct with the owner. I have nothing against property management/agencies but I prefer the personal touch. As a property owner, I pride myself on giving that personal touch and build a bit of a relationship with my clients ...

Anyone else looked at this outfit? They are new and still finding their feet with free listings at the moment. They seem keen to do the right thing, could this be the rental listing site that works for us, i.e. advertises our property nothing more - without interfering in the finer details? I do hop...

You could also use sun lounger cushions as a make shift mattress on the floor for a child - make it up with sheets etc at night.

Watch your insurance covers additional people.....
