A (possibly) final point from me .... As a family, we decided to leave the 'rat-race' that is 'the UK' behind. As excellently put by Alexia, the whole world order is falling apart ...... and america, the uk and probably most of the 'developed' countries are causing this due to exploitation of the wo...

Susan wrote: I believe in Natasha, I don't think anyone would be that low as to make-up that up. In several newsletters that Lisa has sent out to her customers she has mentioned her. Its just a different approach, works for some, but clearly not for the cynics on this forum! I must change my avartar...

Alexia wrote: If words can express it, what did they stoop to? Well much of this thread has cast a doubt over the 'trustworthyness' of the owners of FrenchHH, indeed even referencing that 'she' may not be what 'she' seems. Natasha, was mentioned only in the 'spam' emails ..... however, after the nam...

Regarding adwords. Someone I know used Adwords 'extremely' well. Basically they were paying £20GBP per day and recieving in excess of £1000GBP worth of 'clicks' per day. Nothing 'new' in that, strange as it may seem, do a google for it. This fact, ensured that his site featured 'top' for adwords a...

Sorry if my reference to 'claims from 1 or 2 people' has been misconstrued. I meant, opinions / views / experience etc. If you read back through my posts ...... you'll find that my opinion has come more or less full circle. I thought Paolo had over-reacted and that Lisa was a genuine person trying t...

Paolo, Thank you for clarifying the content of the email. This is 'obviously' a 'bulk' email as whilst it is 'targeted' it certainly isn't 'personalised'. Personally, this is most disturbing on a number of counts. 1 - they use a program to 'rip' emails from the sourcecode. Though FC are also at faul...

One thing that 'gets' me, is the fact that LisaHH 'more or less' admits to using 'harvesting' methods to collect email addresses and claims that "the addresses are available to anyone with a little knowledge of HTML". Also, it seems 'obvious' that she 'page scrapes' text from other sites t...

I'm sure we've all been 'beavering' about research the official position on 'spam', but here's what i've found .... http://www.spamhaus.org/definition.html This 'definition' together with the fact that 'business to business' emails aren't actually covered anyway .... makes it pretty hard to say that...

Looks like this one is going to run longer than the 'towel' debate! My own view, is that I wouldn't really consider an email from a person / company that was 'manually' typed, personalised and had proper 'reply' details (rather than a 'click here' button) as 'Spam'. I'd call this proactive marketing...
