There is a real aversion on this site to paying for performance. The game is changing, the listing sites are losing out to the commission based sites but people would still rather fork out 300$ a year for some maybes.. Speaking for myself, its not so much the business model of paying by results tha...

I would not be so dismissive, they got 10 million in funding and looking at their alexa they are a really busy site. http://alltopstartups.com/2011/05/17/9flats-com-4-months-old-startup-raises-10-million-in-funding/ There is a real aversion on this site to paying for performance. Getting on booking.com is the single best thing you will ever do in your life for multiple property owners in one building but remember this. 1) You must update your calendar, it is serious stuff, they will not tolerate someone being sloppy. People book in real time and if you mess up even once you ...

The problem is this. Sites like homeaway etc,( pay per listing fee) is they do not give a crap about getting you too many bookings once they have your money, not much SEO and not much PPC. Their business model is not to get you bookings, it is to get your money. With apartment rentals sites their bu...

Nice to see you are using Dateblocker still. We have had no time to support it too much. The original idea was to get people's availability so we could then sell on people's property once we had their availabilty. We have something new coming up soon that will hopefully connect 5 or 6 of the largest...

I'm not being THAT hard on you I like Dateblocker and have recommended it successfully to about 20 owners where I have my lodges. I would really hate it to disappear as it fills a great need for us all for professional looking free embeddable rental calendar so kudos for that! We all love it. But y...

dateblocker was a side project, that got traction but we never fully took to the next level. Pity - but at least that probably explains why you junked the user forums and stopped answering users emails or registration emails for the rental management software  management software still can be ...

Hi Garri, I thought you were the one who hung out here looking for money?

Honest, on my life this is a genuine question with no cynical motive.

Your website link actually goes to the Dateblocker home page? So it is difficult to know from which angle you are asking the question. Aha, no in the capacity that we have 500 in house rentals in Europe dateblocker was a side project, that got traction but we never fully took to the next level. Sti...

The 300$ is for evey size of holte so we would end up paying as much as say a 30 or even a 300 bedroomed establishemnt. 300$ is far too much for us. In the end you just have to say no to a lot of theses listings sites, because if you paid for them all then you would end up with no income. Besides a...

Hi Margaret, Interesting how some leads are a lot worse than others. Any ideas why? Some of the leads were suspect? Basically I am interested in enquiries because if you were full obviously you could have had a chance of booking. Another good idea could be your conversion ratio for particular sites.

I thought the new offer was for entering contact details - something TA have never allowed until now, I suppose to protect their booking site partners from losing out to direct bookings. From a business point of view, I don't blame them: we have extensive exposure on TA (not including Flipkey) for ...

average annual enquiries per listing

Hi guys, I am trying to work out the annual listing cost in terms of how many bookings you get per site on an annual basis so I can put a price on each listing site. I would be really interested if you could post stats for the main sites you were listed on in 2009. BTW, this does not matter if you w...

Hi Guys. If anything goes wrong, you are not in the dark:

feedback@dateblocker.com or post on the forum. The server gets overloaded as we are getting close to 2000 users now. Will upgrade sometime this year.

Hope you all get lots of bookings in 2008!
