Hi Marcus They already increase your prices for you! They have made all my prices £25 more which is their cut - I didn't realise they did this, so it makes my place look more expensive than it is. I thought they just took 10% from me, which I would have been OK with, but I don't want to add £25 to m...

Ah yes sorry Brenda, I didn't read properly that you had a B&B! I understand now! I think I would still expect to maybe pay a deposit though if I was going to a B&B, but like you say not a security deposit and you are there to check anyway.

Thanks Brooke .... hmmm might take my ad off again, not sure really now, I wondered why the prices were not showing as I entered them, now I understand!

I was just trying to get some advertising without having to pay unless I got a booking from it, but maybe its not such a good idea!

I take 25% deposit on booking then full balance 6 weeks before departure. Plus security deposit of £150 refunded if all is OK when they check out. Better to be safe than sorry!

Ahh yes you should definitely take a deposit, I've never had a problem with people paying it either. What if someone took something more expensive than towels, that could cause you a big problem with no deposit. Someone has nicked a double sheet from my studio not sure why they would do that or who ...

I've just had a booking from Gumtree today, for my last available week, which strangely was New Year week!

So it does work! You do need to keep reposting it though as Helen said to keep it up the top of the page.

Thanks everyone, Magaret thanks for letting me know about the dial up situation, I think I might have to just take a chance on that and hope most people have Broadband now as I don't know how to make it any better for dial up! Paul ... I don't really understand ... Do you mean you don't like the bla...

Glad you have had some luck with it Paul. All I am getting is invoices for £1.75, have had 4 now and not paid any of them, rang 3 times to query them and all they say is that they are just credit control and they will put the invoices on query and one of the sales team will call me back, but not a ...
