Hi there, I would reply as it only takes a few minutes to reply and you never know what happens. Sometimes people's attention wanders whilst they are on the computer.... We had an enquiry last September for 'Aug: 2 adults and 18 children' and I thought it could be a waste of time as we can sleep 8 m...

Hi All, Last year was our first year of renting and we were still getting up and running last January and were not sure what to expect this year. However since Jan 3rd we have had twenty two enquiries (which is alot for us), with New Year 08/09 booked and two weeks in August 2009 booked! Funnily eno...

You are not alone! We had someone from Italy enquire for New Year and say they were interested- after some discussion on price (e.g. whether the GBP price was actually euros). I then sent them the booking form and instructions on how to pay…… and heard nothing for five days… In the meantime an...

Bis Sis, Hi hope you are well, and good to see you around. Your feedback is indeed great news and no doubt due to your hard efforts. I would definitely put it up on your lisiting site as it will help you distinguish yourself from the competition. If I am booking myself, I usually wittle it down to t...

We have two 'double bedrooms' downstairs and one family room upstairs, which can sleep four as it has four beds. I have noticed that particularly during the peak July-August period most of our bookings have indeed come from families of five, six and even seven. Some of these 'families' are extended ...

Beanie, My wife and I got married in an Alpine location and we looked at Austria, Italy and Slovenia and finally went for Slovenia. Indeed it is getting to be quite popular (particularly in Slovenia). ...But what makes me wary of your enquiry is that they have chosen your place ahead of doing any re...

Thought this may be of interest, although this site does not seem to have good reviews on this forum. I have just found out that homelidays are giving a year free listing for the first 500 owners who sign up by 30/9/07. I signed up for the free month trial and then the final screen offered me this o...

MG,
Thanks for highlighting this. I use gumtree to look for things in our local area but never thought about it to advertise our chalet -how stupid! I thought that I would give it a go too -will let you know how we get on.

Hi there all, Just found this thread, although some of you may have seen some garbled posts of mine of the forum this past couple of months. What I have been doing is cashing the security deposit cheques (which is also the reservation deposit) which goes into a savings account. I return UK deposits by cheque but overseas by bank transfer, with the view that over the year the interest earned should cover the rare overseas transfer charge....
