I got straight through once by phoning really early in the morning, like crack of dawn early. The other times I've just kept trying and having to hang on. It really is a pain & even worse when you get through to someone you've got a job to understand.

Yes he did and I've checked and the booking fee is no longer being included in quotes for the cottage that the lady this morning had forgotten about. The other 2 cottages that the lady this morning deactivated are also not bringing up the booking fee so everything seems to be ok for the moment apart...

I just managed to get through to them on the phone. Turns out the lady I spoke to this morning had deactivated 2 of the cottages from the online booking/payments thing but not the 3rd. Hopefully they're all back to normal now but I will keep checking believe me.

Just checked and when I click the Request to book button this comes up

'This property requires that you message the owner to complete your booking request'

So it's no longer giving them a quote with or without the booking fee added. I will check again tomorrow to see if anything's changed.
