pool fence

.Others have identified appropriate systems so I am just commenting on my experience and preferences. Although I would prefer not to have a fence it just seemed the only system where we did not have to worry, ie what if the alarm broke while we were not there, alarm only alerts you to a problem whil...

Waterair pools - some good points and some not so good

We have a Waterair pool which our builders installed 10 years ago - first mistake as they thought they knew better than Waterair so there are a few things that they did differently which we would change now. Having said that Waterair seems to charge a fortune for anything they do so we would have pr...

I normally send T & C as well as a rental agreement which they agree to via email normally. Last year because I was changing quite a few things I was a bit lax and did not always send them out. Consequently I did have some stress during the season as I had not insisted on T & C (my fault) an...

Only one of my guests have ever commented on how much they like the dishwasher (both cottages have a dishwasher) and they said that after their holiday with one they were convinced they should get one at home. Apart from that I am not sure how valuable they really are when potential guests consider ...

Good to see that we are not the only ones who have encountered this and thanks for sharing your experiences. At times like these I try and remember someone is paying us for their stay and like Jimbo keep a low profile. B&B Netherlands - your non-paying visitors /guests sound really irritating es...

our guests or their guests?

Has anyone else ever noticed/experienced the difference between our guests (those that we have corresponded with and developed a relationship with) and their guests (people they invite for the day or a few days stay)? We have 2 great sets of guests at the moment (one set of returners and 1 new) both...

Interesting thread as I have noticed recently (on my Second Porch) listing that I have at least 2 reviews from people I am sure have not stayed at the cottages - perhaps it is a new fashion they take a look and write a review on what they see? Good advice from margaret on how to encourage new review...

We used to reduce the level of our pool till it was half full (lots of good reasons including us not being here in the winter and also a built up surround) anyway the inevitable happened and the water level in the surrounding area (a few years ago) was higher than in the pool and so the liner was fo...

We have these rings and after some usage I would suggest they would be good for a smallish above ground pool as they are effective (even with the gap) although not as effective as a thermal blanket at night especially in Brittany. But you cannot roll them up and if your pool is a reasonable size (ou...

weI have a pool shark that we bought from the States 5 years ago (when the dollar exchange rate was good) and it is excellent (birthday present for husband who was getting increasingly frustrated with the manual type). I have never regretted it and worth every cent in terms of time saved, less frust...

We have not seen anything about this nor has our accountant added in our tax return so as far as I can tell we do not pay it either. We are not registered with the Ch. de Comm. so you have probably identified the causal link.

I advertise 2 individual cottages and on some of the portals advertise a combined capacity as well. This means I have to pay for a 3rd property although it is very clear on the portal that the larger property is a combined offering in 2 seperate buildings. With this I can appear in a search for acom...
