Thanks essar, it is "limited" and there is nothing in the lease to prevent it. Also we`ve being doing it for over three years now with no objections. The chairman is also a bit of an idiot in a controlling sort of way.....

legal issues

You`ve probaably heard of our problems with the management company, we own 2 flats in one 8 flat building, we`ve had them as holiday lets for three years now. One person (chairman) doesn`t like holiday lets and proposes we limit the number to 10 bookings per year per flat max. Even if he gets a vote...

Update: I challenged him about it in a polite way: `please pick up after your dog` His reply, repeted several times, ` is that a threat, is that a threat` He then went on a rant about how he would spend thousands to `make my life a misery` if I upset him, his partner or his dog...! This guy is a man...

Dog poo

We have a shared lawn area, one tenant in another flat refuses too pick up the poo, even although we or our guests have to walk over it to get to the bins. What do we do, he says prove it with a photo, I tried that and he was furious we might have upset his dog or his partner, he denies his dog does...

We`re currently looking into it, it appears there is no land registry entry ( like 30% of land in the UK), there`s certainly no doubt about the time they`ve been there, you can tell by the state of them..!
