Transferring your listings to a new owner
Hello, and Happy New Year! We expect to complete on the sale of our property in mid February. My question is, would the new owner be able to take over my listings on AirBnb, Home Away and Trip Advisor, or would they need to start from scratch with a listing of their own, in which case they would los...

I agree it is hard to find the info! Basically an ERP (établissement recevant du public = a place open to the public) has to provide disabled access. Hotels for example. A gite taking more than 15 people is classed as an ERP so has to comply. Under 15 guests - no need to comply. This info sheet pul...

Disabled access for gites
I have been reading on Facebook that it is obligatory for gites and meubles de tourisme to have disabled access, but I can only find official information that states it's only obligatory for those that sleep more than 15 people. Has anyone else looked into this please?

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being able to do away with OTA's. I don't have any one site that provides me with more than a handful of bookings. I will look into the pros and cons of not accepting instant bookings though, on the various sites. I would synchronise ca...

A lot of portals say repeated cancellations, we’ll have no choice but to remove the listing. or similar. Repeated cancellations can mean that you are tying to circumnavigate the reservation system on said portal. If that is correct the said portal will be loosing money. As an owner one should not r...

And how patronising is this?? #5 It could mean the end of your listing on TripAdvisor sites ''We want to provide the best possible experience for guests using our site so if there are repeated cancellations, we’ll have no choice but to remove the listing. No one wants that, especially when it’s so e...

From what I can tell, this is written entirely from the point of view of an owner cancelling a booking, with absolutely no regard for when it's the other way around (which I would imagine to be more than 90% of cases)... Yes, exactly. They actually expect us to accept that it's ok for guests...

Yes, that's correct if you're not classified. If you're 'pro' the changes won't affect you but I think it's the government trying to clamp down on unregistered holiday lets that use platforms like bc and abb but aren't paying their taxes. Here's a link to an article about the changes: http://aircon...
