We've won the lottery!

Not a rental enquiry, but a scam all the same. It goes on to ask for bank details etc. One day, when I have the time, I'm going to follow one of these through a little more, just to see what happens. Maggie Nous avons le plaisir de vous informer par cette déclaration des gagnants par tirage INTERNET...

Ju, what have we ever done to upset you? I came to check something on the computer, an hour later my husband found me playing Boomshine!

I know that I'm easily corrupted, but this is quite addictive.

Thanks!

I thought I'd replied to Anno, but must have pressed the wrong button. Thank you, also, Cassis, I've seen your reply on Bill's site. I clearly did misunderstand, I thought 'produit' could also mean 'revenue' but, thankfully, that's academic now. After mulling it over, we wouldn't want to have a long...

Long term let

We've just received the following e-mail, and would welcome other people's opinions on the subject 'Je suis éventuellement intéressé pour investir dans un appartement sur THEOULE. Je n'ai pour le moment pas le produit mais je souhaiterai savoir si vous seriez intéressé pour la gestion locative d'un ...

Ours were all asking for a substantial discount, as well, because it was a last minute booking, and we aren't with H-R.

Re: skin care. I used to work with older people receiving psychiatric care, and one lady had the most beautiful clear skin, a real peaches and cream complexion. When I remarked on it, one of the nurses told me her secret. Every morning, the lady would get up early and, despite the best efforts of al...

We've just returned from our French lesson to find an e-mail saying that we will have 2 bath sheets and 2 hand towels each when in Tuscany, plus beach towels for the pool if we ask for them - phew!

Of course, it's always possible that the owners have been following this thread.

Musetta, we no longer have linen hire as an optional extra, thanks to some guests who didn't bother with linen at all! After that, we increased our charges to take account of the extra costs (£35). Many of our guests drive to the apartment, and it was a way to keep their costs down. Thank you for po...

Adequate towels is a huge bugbear of mine, as we frequently stay in hotels, and the actual provision seems to bear no relation to the cost of the room. At our apartment, each of our guests has 1 bath sheet, 1 bath towel, 2 hand towels and 1 beach towel per week. Just think about what you use at home...

Sofa bed, dining table, lots of bedding, duvets, pillows, lights, and 2 wonderful little chairs for our twin grandsons. Most of the stuff for the apartment is to replace things that suffered cigarette burns at the hands of our guests from hell last year. If they couldn't burn it, they forced it so t...

We arrived at Ikea, Bristol, at 5.50 this morning, and were in the second string of the queue, the first one already being full. By 6 o'clock, when the store opened, the queue reached well back, into the outside car park. We counted 6 police there, as well as many security staff. Fortunately, I'd do...

We're with PLV, and over half of our bookings come from it each year. We also find that many of our French guests return each year, and are interested in longer lets.

Whenever I've had a query about the site, it gets a quick response, and I think it's excellent value for 79 euros.

I think it depends what you are charging, with regards to whether or not a bath is available in an en-suite. There is nothing more annoying than booking an en-suite BATHroom, and finding that it only has a shower. Because we're busy working for most of the time, I love to soak in a bath on holiday, ...

No, but we had one from the Independent. Their terms were, to say the least, unappealing, and the caller couldn't seem to understand that we weren't interested - very pushy.
