encourage guests to write review on trip advisor, most people will look on there first, plus it is a way to remind guests to book direct, thereby saving commission charges

we have a petrol golf buggy for ferrying stuff around the site...it is strictly for our own use & that of friends here helping us...no way would we let guests use it...had enough trouble with bikes, & if it is allowed to get low on fuel it can cause all sorts of problems.

French guests very rarely score you 10/10 as they do not think anywhere can be perfect. Location is the one we get marked down for, which annoys me as they chose to stay in this location!! watch the TV1 series Bienvenue Chez Nous - French guests are super critical.....just the way they are.....

we use Globelink Annual Travel Insurance - just over 100pounds/yr for 2 over 60s in good health. Staysure is another which offers annual insurance to Uk citizens living overseas

the new rate is for unclassified properties, if you have a classification, then rate stays the same, been brought in to encourage eveyone to be classified
