and

Sanskrit (ok perhaps too far-fetched, but love this ancient language)

@kendalcottages I believed that too. Surely, if a site is well planned with all the necessary info, the person would cease reading it and say pick up the phone or send an email. But recently I came across a curious finding. I've volunteered to help with a Health Clinic. They had a very high Bounce r...

Twitter is powerful. I am surprised, although I am very new to it. But in 3 days I fully realised how much power it can harness as a marketing tool. It feels almost as powerful as SEO. But the advantage of SEO is that once you do all your hard work , you can relax almost for good. In Twitter (and ot...

I have to design, well program more like it - a Booking Calendar. It's going to be so incredibly hard :( Specially since PHP / MySQL is not my forte. In fact they are my very weakest! But hey - may take then this opportunity to learn something! Not criticizing the wise choice of many, all free to ch...

Hi Joyce

The arrows:

Ventnor
Things To Do
Children

are designed in a way - it invites people to click.

So make them as links - and then expand them into pages of their own.

As the Usability saying goes:

'If it appears or feels like a link, then make it clickety so" (Anon)

Only request links from sites (or directories 'hint hint') that do not require a link back Source your links that way. Don't link to anyone - you want people in, not out. And doing that will increase your Page Rank also. If you absolutely need to link to something then let it be a service like Googl...

Hi, I would lose the w3c validation badges. It means nothing to most people, unless you are a web designer. Also your property is on Spain. It took me a while to suss out that, so the fact that is in SPAIN should be the first thing a person will read or see. Should be loud and clear. Lastly, Never h...

I didn't even know it was documented, it kinda made sense though - but how to always prove these things? Anyway .. the text link - I can see now its pretty standard SEO - I sort of re-discovered had it drilled in me by playing and experimenting with Google Sitemaps (now called Google Webmaster Tools...
