Yes - the timing - I guess day two is probably the right time. You are right. It is VITAL. I need to grasp that and make sure I do it every time. So simple but so necessary.

Keeping in touch with guests when I am not onsite

Hi Everyone, It's been years since I've posted here - but am back trying to pump up rentals a bit. I lived on the island of Bonaire, where my places are located for about 9 years and it was quite a bit easier to get bookings being on the island. It was also 99.99% smooth sailing because I personally...

Nice property - I second a map since it's multi-unit and a sunnier photo in the #2 position. (2nd photo from the top) When I click on your photos to enlarge them I'd like to scroll to other photos (enlarged) but instead I have to hit the browsers back button. to be picky -I don't love all the terms ...

That is adorable! And well priced I think. Definitely makes me want to stay there. I'd leave off the link to the second cottage that is a year away - or I'd show the construction progress but no reason to link to something that's not there. You can leave the link but have it not yet be clickable - o...

This is beautifully done - very easy to navigate, everything is clear. You know what you are getting - all the links work - it is just good. I'm trying to design my site now and always worry that it isn't clear exactly what I have up for offer... yours is very clear. I do have a few things that I wo...

A condominium for the purposes of a tenant is identical to an apartment. In some places like NYC there are very large differences for owners relating to fees, rules, etc. Anyway - I may change that in the ad so that it is more clear so that was good information that brits don't use that word. I thin...

Thanks Nemo. I guess I'm going on the hope that they will have cleaned up their act soon! I did actually already see that thread and yet I am still interested in signing up with them as going through it I realize that they ARE indeed sending business to a lot of people - hence the high level of frus...

Thank you! Very helpful! - so would you google "self catering holiday bonaire" or self catering accommodation bonaire or self catering holiday home? or just self catering bonaire? Again "self catering" is not a term I'd think to use as an American. I will check out the Dutch link...

ewwww.... that is absolutely terrible. I am having similar issues with flipkey. One example (of many!!) -I had guests who were on the island staying somewhere else send me an inquiry through flipkey asking to view the apt for their next trip. I only got the message a week or so later logging on to f...

Hi Everyone, I re-introduced myself elsewhere on this forum so won't go into too much more . - was here a few years back and am now really needing to be here and soaking it all in. So - I am American - and when I stay at home or apartment on vacation I google "vacation rental Rome" or the ...

Thanks for the welcome! I guess I'm here now mainly due to (hopefully!) buying the third property. If it goes through I will need to fill it fast! The mortgage will kick in before I have any rentals so the time is now to focus and get it right. I know from being here before that there is a wealth of...

Introducing myself again after a few years...

Hi Everyone, I was briefly here a few years back. I bought an apartment in Bonaire in 2006. It was a vacation rental for two years - then I got divorced and did long term only as I needed to devote my energy elsewhere - and now I'm back in full swing doing vacation rentals again. I am much more acti...
