I have a situation where I gave a customer a 100% refund for a booking at the end of May, via the Homeaway web site, in three parts. All this was done at the beginning of April. The customer has just informed me that two of the refunds are still outstanding.. Looking at the Homeaway on-line page for...

Homeaway Coronavirus Refunds

Anyone any idea of what Homeaway's policy is regarding refunds of payents made in full and cancelled by myself due to the coronavirus situation. I have bee able to refund that part of the payments made due to myself, however this obviously does not amount to the full amount the client has paid. I as...

AirBnb Scam

I have just received an email from express@airbnb.co.com purporting to come from AirBnb. It states: Your payout of €**02.15 via Bank Transfer has been stopped because of the following issue with your account: You (Airbnb host xxxxxxxxxxxxx) are currently not able to accept new bookings, receive paym...

With booking.com I have it set up so that clients have to pay in full (non-returnable) 60 days before arrival. Before that clients can make a reservation without paying any sort of deposit and I am finding that a few days before the 60 day period starts these clients cancel. As I block the reserved ...

The minimum number of days the property is to be let is specified on the calendar pages. It appears that the minimum number of days the property should be let has to be set for each day. I.e. you cannot, in one action, set an overall period for your property for the whole year, but have to set indiv...

I did check on the website and it appears that the minimum rental period was 3 days, despite my being confident that it was 4 days. It is definitely 4 days now. Thanks for following up on this. One piece of advice I could give to all Booking.com customers is to make sure your advertised rates, calen...

Booking.Com problems

I have set up my booking.com (b.c) listing so that the minimum rental period is 4 days. b.c have taken a booking together with the money for a 3 day booking. This would only just cover costs. There doesn't seem to be anyway to reject a booking, especially as they have already taken the money from th...

I actually can't believe they have done this. Surely if you pay for a service you are entitled to receive it? Bookings can be refused for many reasons, overoccupancy, dogs etc. I would definitely be speaking to TA, are you a member of Which? by any chance - I would be involving them too. Have you t...

Trip Advisor - Payment Blocked by US Tax Authorities

Just had an email telling me that the payment due to me upon clients entering my apartment in Cyprus has been blocked by US Tax Authorities, despite my filling in the appropriate tax detail page on Trip Advisor. I tried contacting TA but there is no way as they only direct you to various FAQ pages, ...

Well finally after 29 messages backwards and forwards, sending invoices, contracts, Igor got back to me and told me they have found a 3 bedroom town house in Paphos from a friend of a friend for E1,500 for 11 weeks and do not need my apartment.

All I can say is good riddance!

Latest situation is that I have not heard from Igor-dubko for nearly a week despite sending him reminders that there was no agreement in place until the deposit had been received and that I had other enquiries. Looks as though it was a scam and that they were looking for some way to get me to pay mo...

This address was the same as the one use by igor-dubko. See the 'Enquiries from Moscow' thread. There we are only dealing in bank transfers for deposit and final payment in cash. Even the bank account is one where there is no money. Even though the address was yandex.ru, I suppose this could be the ...

Latest is that they want me to issue them with an invoice for the deposit. They tell me that this helps with a bank transfer.

Regarding repayment of security deposit, I think I will ask my agent in Cyprus to check everything before they leave and refund the money there an then.
