Well i'll have to agree to disagree then. Certainly every isp I have been with in the UK will not allow you to send email through their servers if you are connected to another isp, it is a standard thing to prevent spamming from outside of the network. If however, you have a domain and hosting, that...

Niumba pushing for upgraded accounts

After a few years of being totally free, Niumba brought in a charging model last year. It seems that not enough people are signing up to pay, and a couple of days ago, I noticed enquiries coming in with no phone numbers shown. Today I received an enquiry with the following: Traveller information: A ...

Just recently had my ad pulled. Listed with 4 separate weeks to sell independently, so not trying to avoid any fees at all. All I asked was that when buying, the buyers stated which weeks they wanted out of the 4 and to check with me first to make sure they were still available (unfortunetely, you c...

Prestige Travel- Algeria

An enquiry initially from Homelidays from a Mr. Aissat (prestige_voyage@yahoo.fr) and also using* (prestige-voyage@tourismes.com). He is in Algeria and is an agent acting for a newly married couple. I had the initial enquiry yesterday. This has turned into 2 telephone calls on my home landline and a...

Our Belgian guests last year had to ring up and ask me for a BIC as they needed SWIFT and BIC. Havn't tried SEPA yet, but it is supposed to be quicker.

Both my webcams have this facility built into the admin which could be quite useful. Problem I can see is that you will have to leave a pc on somewhere as it will need to record the images on a hard drive somewhere. No good for the one on my fish tank though :D

I can see them trying this on the mainland before too long, in fact I think some provinces already insist on a registration with the local tourist board. I think the hotels are bitching about not being able to compete, but hey, not evreyone wants to be in a sprawling high rise of lager louts!!

It also uses less when streaming than when the programme is downloaded to the hard drive. A 1 hour episode of standard definition Ashes to Ashes toook up just shy of 700mb when I downloaded it.

Can you move away from BT? If your exchange has LLU, prices are cheaper and allowances more generous (mine is £17.95pm unlimited and a FUP of 150GB). Won't take much to use 1GB with the iPlayer, internet radio, Youtube, etc.

I've never heard a peep out of them since registering. I use their calendar for my own ends as it easily totals up the price of the holiday and amount of nights for me. Yes MG, the booking fee is charged to all customers irrespective (€12) and they also get the option of a security deposit opt out f...
