Battery backups tend to be hours to a few days for rechargeable batteries or years for the non-rechargeable (and usually not easily replaceable) batteries. Digital clocks will likely run for longer than analogue. If you're on site (permanently or regularly), you can take responsibility for reprogram...

Something like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313855528815? might suit you but it's hard to tell how easy it is to reprogram if/when you want longer filtration periods in the summer or whether it changes automatically when the clocks change in spring or autumn. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114988570920? i...

I've no reason to research this other than boredom but an ordinary holidaymaker visiting from the UK doesn't need a visa but apparently, according to this : Your arrival in France Whether or not you need a visa, entry into the Schengen area of third-country nationals must comply with a certain numbe...

Is it possible that the (thermostatic?) mixer valve isn't working properly. If they're infrequently used the cartridge can stiffen up. With hot and cold water flowing, exercise the valve by moving it to full hot and back to full cold a few times, making sure the outlet temperature changes as it shou...

I... I certainly do not like the idea of upping the rates for the next guest to cover one's commission payable on the previous guest. ... Are they not saying that they increase the prices they charge to all the people who book through their site, so their listed prices will be approx 15% higher tha...

I would agree that it seems likely that the pump (rather than the timer) is the problem. I'm not a motor expert but I think that a failing motor run capacitor (which is relatively cheap) might exhibit this sort of behaviour. If you can find a detailed parts list for your pump/motor you'll be able to...

I'm guessing here but an obvious question for me is: is it a 3-phase pump/supply? You've mentioned numbers doubling and trebling. Could your cabling be exhibiting faults or your meter (if it's 3-phase)? Two or three years ago we had problems with (3-phase) supply cables to the pool which resulted in...

I'm not an expert but the smell of chlorine that we associate with pools is usually from chloramines (a form of combined chlorine that isn't very effective as a sanitiser). If you are using liquid chlorine from a pool shop, the normal treatment is to add a lot more chlorine. Without tests I can't gu...

I find Hob Brite helpful with burnt deposits and it also removes metal marks from other surfaces such as baths, wash hand basins etc
