Vacation rentals in Monaco?

Hello all, A friend of mine has an apartment in Monaco and wants to run it as a vacation rental. Are there any pointers on the regulatory and tax issues relating to running an VR there? If he runs it remotely are there any local companies providing concierge & facilities management services? (ie...

Try this

Hello,
Try this: R12397
I found it in LMH a few days ago and it worked with two annual renewals!

Good luck,

Listing site choice

Hello, First of all this is a matter of trial and error. Joining the LMH community is a huge step in learning from other people's experiences and minimising your own mistakes! In my experience listing sites are location specific and not so much country specific (not for Greece anyway). You have to k...

Sunnyrentals...

Hello again, I just realised that I had paid them via PayPal...so I lodged a dispute on them. Even if I do not get any money back (it is past the 45 days that Paypal allows), at least I might taint their reputation with Paypal... I will keep you posted on how that goes. Theoharis PS Happy Easter to ...

Flipkey listing

Hello, I had a paid listing on Flipkey for one of my properties and indeed I got few and low quality requests from it. However because of Tripadvisor, I believe that you need at least a foot in the door with them because they are the No1 review site on the internet for hotels etc. Some observations ...

Sunnyrentals...very cloudy

Hello, I listed with them with the same thoughts...targeting the Scandinavian market... but no luck, a TOTAL waste of my money and the time I spent listing with them. I contacted them asking for a refund, since I had not received a single enquiry...nor referral to my website. I got a standard polite...

Lower season bookings

Hello there, Trying to find the holy grail of low season bookings, I realise that pensioners or over 55-60 and young couples are more likely to visit us after the end of August. So the question for all of you is, how would you go about approaching (French) pensioners? All suggestions welcome! Theoha...

Reviews essential

I voted yes because as a traveller myself I find reviews extremely useful. I have had discussions with our guests and they told me that the good reviews they read on the listing sites were very important in choosing us. So trying to get guests to write a review for their stay is an integral part of ...

Yours Fred, scam

Hello, I received the following email which is an obvious scam, for a number of reasons: - We are not in booking.com - We are located in Paros and not Santorini - We do not mention prices on our site - We are not a hotel! --- Dear Sir/Madam How are you? I found your hotel on Bookings.com and was ver...

Wifi Essential

Hello, I can now say from experience that provision of free wifi access is essential for our guests. Even the basic service of 2Mbps because we are at the edge of ADSL coverage is greatly appreciated by the guests. If some of them want to chill out away from it all, they do not have to use it! Howev...
