As someone who used to dabble in quite a lot of paid photography work, I can confirm that it got ever more frequent that people were not willing to pay for good pictures and they can make a difference. I am over in France in 2 weeks if that is of any help in the Limousin at our house there. See www....

We have had a funny year too. We had quite a lot of bookings in December and this filled up some of the summer, though July was completely free. In the last week we have filled July all bar this week! All at full price with no discounts asked for either. In fact I had 2 enquiries on Saturday for the...

Thanks Giddy (and apologies for the long delay in replying) I am now listed, though the site owners were a little concerned that our chang-over day was a Sunday (to be changed next year) and that we didn't have a 'greeter' for our guests, but this has not been a problem with our French Guests so far...

Getting Dutch visitors
Apparently the Dutch love the Limousin (so I have been told). As our gîte is furnished for the 'taller' visitor I am 6'2" and the missus 5'10", is there a French property site reaching the Dutch ?

We have tentatively 2 weeks confirmed, and 4 other weeks pretty definite. This is dispite not being sure if we will have managed to get a pool in for next year, 2 bookings will pay the higher prices if we have or the lower rate if we have not! So looking ggod so far...

Photovoltaic cells and solar energy Limousin
Does anyone know of an installer (preferably with a little English as my French is still poor) in the Limousin (Creuse) region? We let our property as a holiday let, and as the majority of these lettings are during the summer, the installation of these energy producing items should reduce our electr...

Thank you very much for the kind words. I will add prices in due course, plus some pieces about the area, for which I am slowly taking the pictures. I will change bits and pieces. Thanks for the comments on my photos, I do dabble a little in Pro Photography, though my regular job comes first, so not...

Another vote for the ikea one from us too, we have one at home and one at our place in France. Vary easy to clean, even wheatabix! The legs do come off, I am not sure if several without legs would nest one inside the other. Yes don't forget the tray! Our 1 year old daughter seems to find it comforta...
