Worth it?

Definitely worth it in my opinion. We save so much money by buying in bulk there- toilet roll, king prawns, tea, washing powder, cereal bars- there's just no comparison. The meat is very good quality. The times we have had steak from Tesco or Sainsbury and it's been tough- this has never happened wi...

I put on a good quality Egyptian Cotton top sheet, then the duvet on top, partly for the look of it - I think it looks so much nicer than just having the duvet. Also it gives people the option, if they want , midweek, to remove the top sheet in order to freshen up the bed, as the duvet will effectiv...

We are with Schofields and have found them to provide cover at a sensible price. We have to have the heating on at 13 degrees constantly during the winter months, but apart from that there seems to be nothing too onerous in our T&C. Other insurers we went to for quotes insisted we have window lo...

Tree actually looks OK now it's fully decorated. And we have put a Christmassy room scenting diffuser in aswell, plus some extras like crackers and chocolate coins, so it looks pretty good all in all :)

We too take away all the recycling and waste and either take it to the tip or dispose/recycle it with our own waste at home. Only because the guests at the cottage quite rightly don't want to be bothered to make two return trips and hike down a very, very long unmade farm track with the various bins...

Hmmm yes, I agree the smell of a real tree can't be beaten. Well, we've bought the artificial one now. Hopefully if we decorate it really nicely and put lights, chocolates etc on it will look the part.
Perhaps plug in a pine room fragrancer :)

Same here. Our changeover is usually Saturday but last night I cad a call from a customer wanting Friday to Friday. I said yes, as the chances of booking the preceding week (second week in December) are fairly low now, and it's a case of a bird in the hand. So I'm willing to be flexible, depending o...

Christmas Trees

We've bought an artificial tree to put in the cottage this year. Last year we bought a real one but it was very expensive for what it was, I'm sure it was about £40 for a not very big tree. As we only had it in there for three weeks, then just thrown out, I thought if we put in a good quality artifi...

I can't help agreeing that the capitals are offputting. And the phrase 'WAKE UP' has negative connotations, even though in the context you are using it I completely see that you are saying, 'why not wake up from your dream and live the reality', but it could be associated with the 'Wake up and smell...
