Does anyone know of any law or legislation regarding site maintenance contracts which we are charged for on a yearly basis?

Does anyone know of this ruling which forbids the raising of the annual maintenance/service contract by more than £250?

Just had the bill for this years maintenance.it came to £1089.99.Among this was a charge for £46.00 for an electricity credit meter which is read 4 times a year.Anyone know if this legal? The situation seems to be getting worse,as of today we have still not had the maintenance bill for this year.Its normally due in March.I have phoned them numerous times but keep getting told that its"still at the acountants". The trouble is,there are that many "factions" or group...

Got to admit,he sells the cards at cost.But if you dont pay the maintenance you dont get a card!If you pay the maintenance he will put a meter in and bill you every 3 months,again,at cost so he's not breaking the law in that respect.The trouble is..most people have paid up now and theres not enough ...

Had a reply from the leasehold advisory people.They can't help 'cos there's no leasehold involved We hold the freehold on the properties and he holds the freehold on the surrounding commen parts...stalemate!
