I've heard from a friend near Bergerac that they are on their way south at this moment.

They are flying very low, so am perched with my camera as it's a lovely day!

Thought they had changed their minds about coming across the Lot et Garonne but saw 2 huge flocks today.

Seems a bit late this year?

I would have thought that they (FAF) would have to be aware of huge flocks of cranes - after all, just one could be fatal.

I've had a lot of activity from the French air force over the last couple of days - you'd think they'd avoid this area at this time of year? They can hardly fly under the flocks - they are close enough to my house anyway.

I do use "Waste" and as you say, it uses a lot of water so I usually turn on the hose at the same time. Trouble is that the water freely runs away but the leaves stay in the filter - maybe too many of them? I'm not talking about the sand filter but the one connected to the pump.
