Im aware the booking is not instant but you only
24 hours to vet the client, if they live in a different time zone
that may only be one conversation.

If you want a featured listing they're forcing you to sign up to book online. For owners with high end properties or if they're renting out their own house, this is going to be a total nightmare because you need to be able vet people properly. Their software update from this time last year still isn...

HA UK Online Payments - Anyone joined?

I've just set my HA UK account to receive online payments & was wondering if anyone here has experience of taking any yet? Also, since I signed up I don't seem to be able to access the payment provider's Ts&Cs (I wanted to check them) - does anyone know where they may be found? Many thanks. :)

Hi guys, thanks so much for the replies, it's really helpful. I was not even contemplating a Christmas tree as the party arrive on the 26th December. I've done some decorations, just to make it feel a bit festive, but I've not gone overboard in case they're not bothered. I hope I've done eno...

How much Xmas decorations do you do for Xmas guests - any?

We've got our first Christmas booking & I realise I have no idea if guests expect decoration.

Do you have Christmas bookings? What do you do?

I've got some sorted, but I'd be grateful for any feedback.

Many thanks. :)

VRBO phishing alert!

I just got a very very good phishing attempt disguised as an almost convincing VRBO message. Looks almost identical to VRBO message BUT look out for these factors: 1) The (fake) VRBO enquiry will have an attachment paperclip next to it. The real ones do not. 2) When you click on 'quote' or 'calendar...

The stupid thing is that the staff don't like it either. And they've had mahoosive amounts of complaints... The Holiday Rentals UK dashboard layout was a masterpiece of effective web design in comparison & moreover, a lot faster. And the old dashboard was much quicker & easier for multiple p...

I've just joined, decent response so far.

No bookings yet, but it's only been about a month & we only have the odd week left in June & September anyway.

I swapped to it from Homelidays as the latter was ok but I thought this might have a larger public.

Still driving me nuts: SO SLOW!!! Plus I have one account with one property (ours) & one with 3 (friends of mine's houses). My one unit account has the multiunit dashboard so *every* time I want to click on something I have to click on "Choose a property" & select my one property f...

What have they done to the dashboard?! It was quick & easy to use, & now they've taken a really clear & efficient layout & made it into a nightmare! Before you logged in & your properties & their pics came up very easy to see & you could click on edit, enquiries, c...

They broke what are presumably items supplied for everyday use. Items in that category will get broken; they're consumables and part of running the business, and I don't think it's realistic to charge guests for purely accidental damage. If they'd left a plate on a hot hob and it had shattered, tha...
