Harold Wilson had a referendum on the EU in 1975 but made clear that a referendum is only advisory, (pity no one thought to do the same all these years later). Experts say it will have to be a full act of Parliament before anyone in UK can invoke article 50, so I'm assuming that it will have to get ...

I don't think there will be a second referendum, it's not needed. A referendum, apparently, doesn't have to be acted upon, governments can ignore the outcome if they think it's not in the best interests of the country, (not having one in the first place might have been a much better idea!). They've ...

I've got my fingers crossed that it won't actually happen! I know everyone that voted out thinks the government have to listen, but they don't. Apparently in British law, only Parliament can make the actual decision and right now Cameron has given them breathing space by resigning. As far as I know ...

I did think that perhaps I could just add the extra bits to my booking form, easier all round, but not so sure when I think about just how insecure the internet can be! There would be the type of additional info that makes identity theft an awful lot easier, I know I'm just being a bit paranoid but ...

French Country Cottages is part of the, very large, Wyndham Group. They handed the running of French property owners to Novasol, based if France. If you don't really want to handle your own bookings then they can be ok, but you do loose a lot of control, they set prices & you can't have a damage...

Oh my, that will teach me to actually listen to my OH,Teapot!! Nearly as funny as a conversation I had with my French friend the other day when I mixed up sel & sale, she looked at me as if I'd two heads until I realised my mistake. I shall put it down to the heat and old age, apologise to anyon...

They were told the accommodation was no longer registered,Helen, but they had no idea what that meant and no further explanation from BC. I hope they can find an alternative but I really think they will have to move outside their chosen area. Fingers crossed for them.

They'd paid for 5 star & BC offered them a hostel!!!! To say they're furious is an understatement, apparently the BC were really rude & unhelpful, guests said they basically didn't care. Needless to say they will never use a 'book now' button again and will always contact the owners direct, ...

I feel so sorry for them, they are such a lovely family, really considerate and left our gite really clean! If I hadn't had guests checking in today I would have let them stay to try to find somewhere.

Urgent accommodation, San sebastian

Forlorn hope but trying to help guests that leave today to travel to San Sebastian. They had an apartment for 2 adults & 2 children, booked with B.Com and got a txt at 6pm CET to tell them it's cancelled!! Spent all night on the phone and were told to just go back to the UK! It's a long shot but...
