In defence of HR they did send out e-mails informing advertisers that they were implementing reviews, that the reviews could be read before being posted and that advertisers would have the right to reply (but not change or veto the reviews I think). They also said that any reviews entered in the gue...

Interesting post. I stopped advertising with Holiday Lettings last year as it just didn't perform for me. Holiday Rentals are by far the best for me. However, I am looking around for another rental site and was contemplating joining them again with the hope of picking up some enquiries in the new ye...

Revival of an old thread, as we have just (despite being due by 17th December) received our first Taxe d'Habitation bill. How do we go about paying monthly (I assume it will only be allowed be for next year and not for 2007), and do we pay in advance if we do? Do I send the green papillon too? You ...

Moondog, I hope things pick up for you. our first year was very slow but things were much better in the second. The Pyrenees is a lovely place we had a two week holiday there a few years back. I just had a quick look at your website and I found it hard to find out what exactly you were offering. May...

Hi, This is a great idea. I'm in the Cote d'Azur and would be interested in a reciprocal link. Many of my international guests (American, Canadian and Australian etc) usually stay in Paris at some stage of their holiday). I will set up a separate page and so would be interested in including anyone e...

I used to send keys out all the time before I moved to France, and still do occassionally when I won't be around when the guests arrive. It has always worked well and I don't think I ever had a set not returned. I send out the set of notes (does and dont's etc) that I give all renters and a local ma...

HR has always performed well for me. It has always given me more bookings than others combined (HL, OD, Homelidays, Vacation Rentals). This year referrels and repeats have been HR. My Owners Direct and Holiday Lettings ads are up for renewal and I am asking myself the same question about them. Marion

Hi Barry, There are agents who use the sites. I know of a couple here in Nice that have several properties on the books. I have managed the bookings for mine and my brothers apartments for 4 years and now also look after a friends apartment. I advertise all three on Holiday Lettings, Holiday Rentals...
