www.flashearth.com

I was alerted to this site on another forum. It's apparently unauthorised, but it enables you to compare images from Google Maps and other satellite imaging sites and, best of all, you can create a link to a location and email it - excellent for showing potential guests exactly where your property i...

I wasn't referring to your post, Ros. There is something amiss with this poll.

I just clicked on to this thread. As I haven't voted, I shouldn't have been able to see the voting to date; as it is, I wasn't given the chance to register my vote. Something's afoot :!:

You need to beware of telefonicainenglish. If you follow other Spanish forums (for example andalucia.com) you will find that they are only an agency and appear to have no formal agreement with Telefonica. It has been suggested that they may be defrauding both Telefonica and the customers.

Barrieeld, Just my two pennorth, but I agree with all the earlier comments about yours not looking like a holday rental site. I don't see potential customers getting past the first page, because it shouts "property sales" to me, not holiday rental - the only obvious reference to properties...

I didn't think it was genuine either; I just thought it was a little better than average.

Orange Home Consults?

Here's an almost plausible request (except that Helen B thinks there is nothing plausible about it): Subject: BOOKING From: scott@scott23.orangehome.co.uk To: xxxxxxxxx DEAR SIR/MADAM, I'M THE DIRECTOR OF ORANGE HOME CONSULTS, BASED IN GLASGOW.WE HAVE A PROGRAMME IN YOUR COUNTRY AND WILL BE SENDING ...

As I think I've said before, I've been with Choose Spain for several years and, up to this year, I've been pleased with the results. This year, however, I've had just 2 enquiries through them, so I won't be renewing. :(

Chalky: I'm afraid you're flogging a dead horse, Oskars site is a 5. I don't know how you got the screenshot but there is no doubt about it - sometimes the screen needs refreshing to show up to date PR. Marcus, I clicked on the link in Oskar's signature - no page rank. If you then click 'lanzarote ...

Not according to my Google toolbar, oskar - see http://www.los-castillos.co.uk/sshot-1.jpg for the evidence, and, no, I haven't been at work with the photoshop, this is a genuine screenshot :)

Perhaps we could put an end to this cycle of listing sites spamming LMHers, and then telling us all about themselves? Maybe by not posting about every new site that contacts us with an offer? Surely, Paolo, many of us are interested in finding out about new listing sites. The market may be crowded,...

Chalky, I'm sure Paolo can explain the role of LMH but clearly it extends beyond towels etc - for example discussing rental listing sites. Nerdy or not, PR is one clue as to the viability of a listing site, albeit only a small one (actual search engine results being a bigger one). Marcus, The point...

A very rough and ready guide, and the best test is to do searches on Google, but if you can´t be a****, look at the PR. Someone asked on another topic about DreamVillaRentals. Villa-Link - PR0, DVR - PR5. Enough said. No Oskar, I can't be a**** and nor can I understand some of your shorthan...
