This is what the OD Trust and Security Centre say...

Hi all, Having followed this thread with keen interest, and having enjoyed a particularly "lush" Easter, I started out this morning on an experiment to see if I could make it till evening without eating. And I have surprised myself at how I haven't collapsed, am functional at work, and man...

Sorry to hear about this - a hint at what's to come under new new ownership(?). I'm actually surprised you got through to them, as I phoned last week and after being kept on hold for 10 minutes (international rates), decided it was time to get a life, and give up..... Make sure your compensation is ...

I agree, not a nice tone at all. IF you don't want to lose the business...... You could respond stating (nicely) that you prefer to use email as it allows you to give full and complete answers to any and all questions, whilst at the same time providing a written record for both owner and guests. And...

Yes just received the same text message - 3 days after I "enquired". £24.99 to get the details and "all other enquiries". Sounds a lot like French Holiday Homes to me - where I get enquiries but no contact details, unless I re-subscribe. Even though they won't take my ad down, (c...

Hi Your house looks gorgeous! Great photos. My experience - I had a free trial with Holiday Lettings last year, for 2 months, then extended it for a small amount (€70) for an additional 3 months, NOTHING. No traffic, no enquiries, therefore no bookings. The day before the ad expired I had a totally ...

Thanks all for your very valuable input. Time to update my T&C's I think - very good advice. I find the "remote management" of a holiday rental very stressful when there's an issue that I have no direct control over!

Steve, Thanks for the sympathy about dealing with telecoms companies in France - this issue has been ongoing since I got the line last November, and each (expensive) call to Customer Services reassures me slightly, until the next time the line is cut off... Greenbarn, Thanks for advice on compensati...
