Hi Nu

I like it and if I was over your way I could do with losing a few pounds!

The picture on the new site really grabs you and it does look lovely. Not sure about the exercise on holiday tho! Maybe that's why I need to lose a few pounds!!

I've found one for Homeaway too

Hi Lisac I've found a consumer blog in the States with another story that's breaking over here. http://www.elliott.org/blog/was-this-grand-canyon-vacation-rental-a-grand-scam/ This guy is fairly well known in the States and it just goes to show how wrong it can go with one bad owner and HA not handl...

And the added security of a customer paying with a card now costing us more with Paypal adding on ridiculous terms and conditions, the writer of this 'news' (more like an advert/PR) is capitalising at our expense. I say we put his/her website in the 'do not list' pile! I see a day when we're going t...

Heather, I understand the security issues. I think if, as owners/agents, we post a map and the property is not 'exactly' where we put it we ought to put a disclaimer below the map saying so, and also have a line in the terms that states the map is an approximation. You could also give an estimate of...

I think this is just a sign of the times we are in. Banks are trying to cream off the top of everything, more so than they used to do because of the situation they are all in with their balance sheets. Not good but I think that's why. I also think that Paypal are expensive and always have been. They...

Tripadvisor dodgy reviews ASA tell them to stop!

Hello everyone,
Interesting post on 'Travelmole' (you may need to join to read it). Essentially telling tripadvisor to stop posting adverts saying their reviews are honest. With HL now part of tripadvisor is this good news for us owners?:?:

Kathy I don't know why you are bothering to do this. It isn't going to get you anywhere at all other than into a situation you might feel uncomfortable with. Yes 'Alan' has acted disgracefully. And you are an honest upstanding professional owner. But do you really want to get into this with him? I k...

Excellent

Carl,

This sounds really exciting. I wish I had the knack of promotion...can't seem to pull it off. I'm doing the twitter thing and trying to get journalists interested but all I have ever had was requests for a free stay!!! Anyway good for you. Hope it brings in some business.

Regards
