You could try the french option or a variation of it, if you can consider what would be a reasonable/ average amount of electricity usage for a period of time- taking into account the weather and then charge the guests for using more than the average. If you have someone able to read the meter befor...

accomodation in Venice anyone?

We are planning a trip to Venice in early October , four of us. I just wondered if anyone had any accommodation available or advice? I did a search on here and much of the info on Venice is quite old, so I thought I would pose the question.
many thanks

Hi Clare I think the Guardian are part of the Wyndham Vacation Rentals company, there is probably lots on this site about Wyndham if you do a search. I used them the first year of trading, but felt mislead by their representative, they took what I felt was a higher percentage of the income than I ha...

We are with Sawdays, however sadly we have had little interest, 32 page views and 2 click through in the last month. I think this may be because we are in France and the Brits seem less enamoured due to the euro and perhaps security concerns. Previously Sawdays were good and we had a good conversion...

Sotogrande sleeps 14 plus needed

Good Morning

Before I start trawling through the websites I just thought I would see if anyone here could help. We are due at a wedding next September in Sotogrande and I just wondered if anyone had any availability for a large group?
thanks

Hi Morristhedog that sounds like bad luck, luckily we have not suffered with the bed bugs, so far. However I think you are also being visited by Loir (edible dormouse-edible to the Romans apparently). I had a particularly unpleasant experience when I arrived at the Gite, lifted the loo seat lid to f...

I will look into that option, it will certainly reduce my frustration at the queues in the Orange shop.

Hi Alisonmk this is the issue that I have had, I have always taken mine back, much to the surprise of the staff in the Orange shop. However when I asked what would happen if I did not return it the reply from the guy on the English helpline was "probably nothing", so I have been tempted to...

Sorry bit late in the day, but going back to the original question and response from Circé I just wondered if anyone had managed to achieve this? I rang Orange today and initially was told it was possible to suspend the system while the house is empty, having previously been told it was'nt. I was th...

In my area the Tax d'habitation is €2000 the CFE is €123, so I was pleased to get the advice from the accountant. :)
This may all change when myareas is renamed next year!

this is the info I had from my accountant. Taxe d’Habitation is an annual habitation tax imposed on the occupier of the property on the 1st January of each year. Even though you may not physically be resident on 1st January, the tax is still payable. It is the equivalent of council tax in the UK. Ho...

Hi Jentay we have a gite business and this method is used in our commune to claculate the Tax de Sejour, but not sure if its obligatory, I have always tried to maintain a good relationship with the local tourist board and as we have contracts with guests who stay on a weekly basis with all this info...
