Bookings now that we can open in July

Was hoping and expecting a flurry of enquiries after latest relaxations.
Hasn't happened yet. I am being impatient?
Anyone got an increase in enquiries or bookings since govt announced we can open from July 14th?

HW refunds

After sending an email I got a statement back from them. It showed me what I had received and whathad been refunded. As I had 2 recent bookings then I did receive a small amount being the difference between what I should have received less the cancelled bookings that I already had been paid or. I ha...

I think that if you have received a payment and then agreed a cancellation, then they are not taking it out of your bank but holding it against any future payments due to you from new bookings. I have had 2 bookings in the last week for essential workers but no schedule in the reservations to show w...

Can we accept bookings?

Had an enquiry for my Worthing studio flat.
Wants accommodation for duration of lockdown.

I've asked questions of course like why?
If they have a good reason for this can I accept if I want to or are holiday let's supposed to be closed?

Thanks

Home Away have just sent an email to owners giving advice that "in the event of a cancellation, in the spirit of good hospitality, we strongly encourage you to offer a full refund". But we can only refund the amount we receive after HomeAway etc have taken their commission. Will they refu...

Stewart, your website is brilliant.

The cottages are very unusual and look fabulous for the market you are seeking.

Overall well done and good luck for 2020
( Perfect place to escape Corona virus!)

Simply Rentals LLC

Has anyone had any business with this U.S. agency?
They seem to deal a lot with timeshare sales and rentals.

http://simplyrentals.co/

I received a phone call from them with a definite enquiry.
All sounded legit but just want to do my due diligence.

Thanks

Ronnie

leasehold property

Thanks for the reply. No this particular flat is in England. I do have a flat in Glasgow but it is not leasehold of course. I have now found from a google search a ruling from the upper tribunal for lease which in a recent case stated that residential did not mean days or weeks but months. So looks ...

Lease hold property

We have a leasehold flat and have been using air b n b for short term lets. Somehow the management co for the leaseholder has discovered this and written to me to tell me to stop as I am in breach of certain terms of the lease. (which I wasnt aware of) I have looked at the lease and the particular i...

Update- I have now made two offers to the company re a refund. firstly 50% so £850. When that was refused I upped it to £1k. That was returned with 17 pictures of what he thought was unsatisfactory cleanliness. I am taliking 4 in a bed here where they deliberatley find fault. Under sink cupboards, d...

Here is my draft reply having listened to the discussion here. Hi Tasha I am not at all happy about the situation. The apartment had been cleaned that morning. However it did not seem to meet James’ standards so he called me at home after I had left him seemingly happy. I offered to engage a profess...

It depends on how soon the cleaning would actually take place. If the guest thinks the place is very dirty, I think it probably reasonable that they wouldn't want to spend the night there - unless it was put right (or at least cleaners on-site) by the time they came back from dinner. It was early e...

I suppose I did have a chance of turning around and going back to see the guest. I had just left him seemingly happy and he called as I arrived home (just in time for dinner!) to complain then about work surfaces being greasy, cutlery not clean enough and windows dirty - I recall that was his main g...
