I think that is a great idea. Can be time consuming, but at the least would be smart to do some seasonal photos - for example if you are in an area that snows (assuming that is an attraction) then have photos of your place covered in snow in the months pre winter and the non snow photos once people ...

Great responses - Thank you all! Yes, I think a lot of it may depend on the culture of your area. Nothing would be worse than spending extra time to follow up only to annoy your guests! I think in the US people might be more tolerant of it, if done in a very polite way of course. If it does result i...

How often do you follow up after initial inquiry?
Let's say you get an inquiry and email and or talk to the person on Monday, but they don't reply or sign up. Do you call/email them back on Tuesday to find out if they have more questions or to try to book them? If you didn't reach them Tuesday, do you keep trying all week? In other words, how much ...

Anyone using Wireless Keypads instead of Keys?
I have seen several deadbolt options that don't require a key. Very cool. Some even use Wifi so you can change codes remotely and get alerted when guests come and go. Anyone have experience with these?

Worst part about my site is????
Hello All, I have a site that does pretty well on the search engines, but I know I have some usability issues, like how to navigate and easily finding the info a renter wants...then how to easily get to fill out the form. Is it easy to find the calendar? What if the dates are taken? Are there other ...

Wow, looks like you have some amazing properties. I think your site has some good points, but will let you know what I think could be improved. I think your photos (especially since your properties are so nice) should be MUCH bigger. Yes, you can click on the thumbnails to enlarge, but it's kind of ...

I have a few suggestions: 1) make the pictures larger. I keep wanting to see more but they are medium sized and bigger is always better. 2) Streamline your Booking process. Use an online Form that gets the exact info you need from your guests (how many, what dates, contact info, etc) then automatica...

To me it's all about supply and demand, and how much time is left to rent it out. If I'm not getting any bites on particular dates, I will discount. If it's just a few days away, and it's still not rented, then discount some more! Obviously you have your hard minimums to cover the costs and hassle, ...
