As an ex ex-pat I'd say it's not terribly suspicious to be looking for a longish let for holidays...we used to get massive summer holidays and as the heat was so terrible then, everyone disappeared, not everyone has a property in their home country and we just liked to see a bit more of the world. A...

I'm really not given to bad language, far too civilised me

I just want to thank you all again for your kind words. I've had some lovely email conversations with my stepdaughter and there is going to be an ashes scattering party for her mum here in France towards the end of the month. If I can get there I will but not easy with four donkeys and seven llamas....

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It was all a bit of a shock although she had been ill for a while I don't suppose I ever expected she would die. She was a very vibrant, beautiful woman with the dirtiest laugh on the planet. She had very strong opinions but so very different to mine sometimes. I ...

We started out hating each other as she was my exs ex, complicated hey. Over the years and we had known each other for just about twenty we became very clos...

Whilst I'd been out my son had taken a phone call form the pompiers saying that my llamas had b...

Weathers been really mild here this autumn and we haven't had our usual rainy season. Normally by this time of year the hills behind would be white on top but there not and the leaves seem to be really slow falling.

Now are we all sitting nicely? It's not so much that a dingler becomes a fertler more that it can be both a dingler and a fertler at the same time, this is quite rare but for example a hammer could be both dingler and fertler but, in the case of the window dingler it could only ever be a dingler. On...

Dingler: whoops  sorry let family language out into the general world, normally try to only use words from known languages. Let me explain, a dingler is similar but not quite the same as a fertler although sometimes we can have something that can be both a dingler or a fertler but not normally...

Place ...
