Using video

I have just stuck a random video I made on my iPhone that shows the outside of our villa on the home page. www.escape2tuscany.com Do any of you do video and do you find it useful. I am planning a photoshoot for the villa when I am over in a few months and was wondering if it was a good idea to take ...

Looks great. I agree with others re photos. The decor is a matter of taste and I like it. I wanted to put scrolling photos on my website because I could but I have gone off them as being slightly distracting. I think one really good photo is better than a few OK ones.

Thanks.

Yep, still a work in progress. The prices will be on the availability page once we have invented them. The photos currently are just ones I have taken en pasent. I will take good ones 'selling the dream' when things are closer to completion.

Works on my iphone 5s but the contact sub page takes me to booking (maybe it is supposed to?). Nice site. Some of the sub-pages have a line in front of them on the drop down.

What are you viewing it on kevsboredagain? The menu is supposed to be on the left side and is on both my mac and pc using safari and explorer. The only button and hyperlink that shouldn't work is the final 'book now' one as the rest should just direct you to a page on the site. It is in 'sandbox' mo...

A quick question while I am making changes; Are the buttons on the bottom of the page better on the home page (big buttons) or on the availability page accessed through booking-availability (small buttons)?

I have adjusted the menu to take out the sub pages. I have changed the 123 booking thing to make it flow better. The T&C's have been left aligned. I hope this is an improvement. I have not got around to my SEO yet and so have not fiddled with anything other than basic layout etc. I will look at ...

Thanks e-richard. I had noticed the side menu thing so will try and find a way around that. I wonder if disabling the levels altogether would be a good idea? There are links in the body of the top level pages to sub pages but that might be a bit clicky. I will look at it. The 123 thing needs some wo...

I travel light and like a WM. Obviously a DW is good but at the end of the day you can wash dishes by hand. Most people will not do this with clothes (although I have many times). Certainly if you are there for 2 weeks you are talking 14 pairs of socks, 14 boxers, at least 14 shirts etc etc if you c...
