We accept all children, but no pets!

Some adults and children are allergic to cat or dog hairs, and it can't be guaranteed to clear the gite completely of them.

In 14 years We have never had any animals, but lots of children...Never a problem! (We love children!!)

Are we wrong?

Thank you Petitbois for your very useful and interesting comments.
We will look into the various options as you suggest and 'take steps' sooner rather than later. Once again, thank you.

Thank you Ecosse. It seems we are no more than an hour away from you in the UK! I think we will leave the advertising of the sale until after our visit at Easter. We still intend to visit in July / August. We have family and friends visiting then. I'll let you know the outcome. Good luck to your end...

Selling in France

After 21 years owning 3 different holiday homes in France, we have decided to sell our latest 17c old farmhouse with adjacent gite. How awful. I used to live in Surrey and first the Olympics and then lots of other bike races took place around the roads - it was a nightmare. All the roads were closed, people couldn't get in or out of their homes all day - they couldn't shop or even go to work, nothing. The police were really rud...

Transferring money

I have been using HIFX for many years. Good rate, no charges and it's a very easy to transfer. Usually within 2 days it's in my 'French' bank account. You can easily get the 'spot' rate on line and watch the rate going up and down each few seconds, then when you feel you have arrived at the best rat...
