Thank you for replying Wallypott. Wow, lot on your hands and all that but amazing you for handling it all! I saw the PIMS programme but I thought it would only work for 1 'unit' - I'll go back and check it out again. Is your 6-column calendar with PIMS? If not, how did you get it? Or is it 'just' a ...

Software for multiple unit bookings

Hello, I know that this has cropped up in the past but I can't find a recent answer.. Now that we are 'taking care' of around 14 holiday cottages, it would be really useful to find some sort of software where I could input each new booking that a cottage gets and then see all arrivals and departures...

Holiday cottage cleaning + management services, near Brecon

Since leaving France 2 years ago (where we still own our gite), I have started up a small (but expanding!) cleaning / management business for holiday cottages near Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, mid Wales. Our website is www.chambers-maids-brecon.com. You can also see some nice reviews on our yellow pages l...

Lots of large holiday cottages round here (Brecon) advertise with group accommodation and do really well - I'm not sure how well French ones do though. Plus the website owner lives near here and seems to be very well thought of - if that helps?!

Bookings for our gite (sleeps 14) have been terrible! For the first time in 6 years, July has stood empty until a few days ago. We only booked it because we halved our prices to attract smaller groups - we ended up getting a 2-week booking through the discount code on the Holiday Lettings sale (took...

Anyone in Limousin availability 6-15 September?

Nearly fainted today because I've had 2 enquiries for the 9-16 September! The first enquirer booked, so I was wondering if anyone had availability that I could let the 2nd people know about. They want somewhere: - In Limousin - That has a minimum of 1 bedroom! - in a village near commerces - with UK...

Feeling for you too, Zoot. What an awful year for some of us! For the last 6 years, I have had the whole summer booked up but I now have the whole of July free. The only thing I feel I can do is to drop my prices (which I have done) as well. Hang in there and maybe you'll get a last-minute French bo...

6-bedroom gite for sale in Limousin village

After moving to Wales over a year ago from Limousin, we are finally selling our gite, which we still owned, in the same village. It's sort of a shame because it's doing well with wonderful managers but we're looking to invest the sale revenue in a 'holiday project' closer to our new home. It really ...

I just wanted to add quickly that I found this thread really interesting - I've been moaning about the lack of bookings this year for ages but it's given me the kick up the **** to re-write my stale website, sort out the photos and to spend more time on replies to enquiries. I think it's far too eas...

I had made a 'person' page (i.e. you have to make friends first!) before but have also just made a 'like' business page: https://www.facebook.com/VacancesVertesLesBellesGiteEnLimousin?ref=tn_tnmn I'll see which does better. I've liked all the posts before, would be great if someone likes mine too! T...

That's funny, I just go into my google account, fill in all the sections of the advert. They then say they need verification of the address, after a coupel of weeks send a postcard to said business address, with a code on it. I go back to my google account, fill in the code of the business I want to...
