It wasn't obvious how to search for properties or how many properties they have.

In July 2020 alone, more than 27 million travellers used the Holidu website ..... Bookiply significantly expanded its customer base of holiday rental owners Quotes from the press release. Note that the 27 million probably refers to the number of site visits, certainly not the number of bookings. No...

Owner Holidays

With some reluctance I have shut down Owner Holidays and closed the company.

I simply did not have the time to support it and it was costing me in server fees every month and I was not making a dime.

Not to say it won't be resurrected at some future time.

Thanks to all who were supportive.

I have to agree, the prominent and repeated use of the word stables is very off putting, and to be honest are potential guests in the slightest bit concerned about how lovely the horses were? They want to know how many rooms, what facilities, what beds. The word stable makes them expect a cramped st...

It uses the same wordpress theme as my site ownerholidays.com

But owner holidays is still free, and I altered the wordpress theme and code considerably.

Been very busy trying to make a living, but will return to ownerholidays soon, now that the market is changing a bit.

I think there are plenty of perfectly legitimate reasons to use holiday properties as teporary residence for a month or two. Say your AST has come to an end, and you or landlord don't want to extend for indefinite period. You want to purchase, but it will take a month or two, but you don't know exac...

Any availability?

Not sure where to post this, but I have a friend who is in process of purchasing house, but needs somewhere in London area to live for a month or two. Holiday lets seem the obvious avenue. When I look on airbnb for flats, the reviews seem very variable.

£1000 or so per month?

The problem is that the owner is asked to refund to the client the "service fee" that HA received. That is if you go automatically with the default option "100% refund". With a 100% refund you pay to the client: - the amount of the rental you received; - the service costs that H...

I think my view is that the brands of airbnb etc. may have become a bit tainted, reality has set in, so this opens up new opportunities. It will be interesting.

They are currently offering free membership. https://www.i-prac.com/i-prac-to-invest-1-million-into-the-short-term-rental-sector/ The £1 million investment will be used for 2,500 I-PRAC memberships, for the duration of 12 months. But I have a feeling the investment is not cash going into the company...

I-PRAC

Anybody heard of this business? It seems interesting and useful, but not sure if there is anything behind the web site.

I just posted my two cents on trustpilot.

i recently sold my remaining holiday property, so am out of the business, but have every sympathy for independent holiday property owners who don;t know how to pay their mortgages and bills. Maybe the government will provide help

I saw that vacasa has serious problems (maybe collapsed?). The problem with the big ones is their level of debt. Plus they have zero assets apart from the name and goodwill.
