CDH, Classification and the new tourist tax

Hi,

Hoping someone can confirm easily! The new rules with classification and the taxe de sejour, is that for gites only or for CDH as well?

TIA

Hi All Hoping someone can help! I have a credit agricole business account with a credit card machine (monecam). I presume this means it is a merchant account..? I am looking at signing up with Evivvo for reservations and they have a payment channel in place and say I can ditch the credit card machin...

Shouldn't they just rent a gite? But then they would have to clean up after themselves but this way someone else can do it

We tried the BBQ idea, terrible mess of it and the left everything on plates etc for us to clean up before making breakfast the next day :(

Neither the name or website implies we have a kitchen and this tends to be European guests not USA (although I still think the clue is in the name, bed & breakfast, that's it!) I am sure they wouldn't go to a hotel and ask to use the kitchen  I would love to offer a small kitchen for people...

Yep we have a fully stocked fridge, wine beer, cold drinks, snacks etc Even during their stay we have people come back with food. Our fridge ends up full of random stuff then of course they leave it when they depart (and its never nice stuff!) :) We have even had people cook when we are out after th...

Use of kitchen in a B&B

Hi B&B owners! We have a chambre d'hote / B&B here in France. We don't let guests use the kitchen (for a number of reasons, we have tried it and it just doesn't work, damage, mess, inconvenience, general hygiene etc) There are no photos of the kitchen on our site and we call the tariff B&...

Hi there

My OH and I work together in our chambre d'hote but not sure what you are asking, is it in regard to the type of business you need to setup? We are a partnership, with the unfortunate acronym of SDF (makes the french laugh at least!) It seems quite a rare setup but worked very well for us

Hi Zur Alten, did you get anywhere with your channel manager search?

I feel like I revisit this every year and still haven't got a perfect solution, currently using siteminder but it isn't very efficient to use

Keep the fancy linen and promote that on your site! we have a lot of comments on linen quality, and many people say they hate going to gites with mis matched horrible linen

Very personal preference I would say - we are in a small hameau, 6 houses, 4 of which are used about 3-4 weeks a year and the other a gite rented for about 8 weeks in winter. I would like it if we had more permanent neighbours, it is so nice to say "Morning!'' or have an impromptu drink or snac...
