that is just great!
On another board, they were talking about 'offensive sites on the net'. This is a prime example of what offends me!
(well, at least it didn't change my mouse into little arrows...)

I wonder where that information about greyhounds is from. Yes, they like yeards, but they are excellent apartment dogs. I recently wrote an article on this, and talked with the local SPCA, have talked with the greyhound rescue socieites, greyhound owners, and done my own research. Greyhounds are ver...
Bob--- thank you! It sounds like your type of group is great for us--- I hope bikers in the US are as considerate (I assume they are, and I do know a few). Is there anything else to place in a gite to attract (quality) bikers? We're going to market to snowmobilers as well, so we're planning on a mud...

Personally, I think you need to know your break even point first. Hopefully that is well below the possible rental range! I've heard that the first year or so is touch and go, and then you get into the groove. The other thing you can do is work out a 'formula' for the other places in your area--- $x...

off topic, sorry--- Joanna, you sound very knowing--- can you point me to good beginner sites fro renting a VR in NY? It'd be in a differnt county than yours (Herkimer), but I'm sure a great deal of the basics would be the same. Or if you have any info you could send me? We're just starting out on t...

In the US, if you call 911 for an emergency from a cell phone, the operator will not know where you are. A vacationer may not be able to tell him/her. The land line, here, is connected to a system that as soon as you dial up, they have your addy. I don't know, but assume it's similar there. Just a v...

I did once find a site in the US for disabled VRs. I also think you could let local or nearby associations know about the availability. http://www.blvd.com/Travel_and_Recreation/Vacation_Homes/ We're in the planning stages for our place, and we are also making it accessable. It only makes sense, to ...

Its been snowing here as well - although it isn't as bad as the heavy stuff we had in November. We still have electricity which is a relief. As it's so cold, it's a good excuse to cook a tartiflette for supper. Highly calorific, but very warming! You bad bad person! I made one for dinner just becau...
