No Sandra not as yet. My marketing budget is gone this year, but it’s still a possibility for next year. Will probably ditch Sawday’s as their listing fees have gone through the roof and getting v little enquiries.

Thanks Sapper.
True enough Teapot... I think ours are limestone based. About 250 years old so have seen some things over those years I’m sure!

Sapper just out of interest I’d love to know what product you can use to clean them up. We have them in our own home and I’ve heard that many products are too harshband can erode flagstones. Our have many different colours, markings, stains on and I’d really like to clean them up myself. Thanks

This all sound hopeless. I must admit I held back my renewal VE annual membership payment this year a student hadn’t heard anything from anyone about the inspection and worried that in the swap over the the AA for this role itnwoud all fall apart. Well I did pay up eventually but only as I wanted to...

Just to add my quota in... during our Visit England inspection the inspector actually said we needed to have cake making equipment in case someone wanted to bake a cake! Perhaps your previous owners had the same conversation with the same inspector 🙄

Clear cut to me; absolutely the guests' fault and you shouldn't consider contributing. Also don't get the key posting but if teenagers are in the house on other occasions but irrelevant to this situation. Cheeky people for even thinking of asking you!

Farmstays

Does anyone list with Farmstay site? I'm thinking about giving them a go as bookings for this year seem a bit slow. Our local tourist site charges around £250 per annum and hasn't brought any direct bookings for a while so could ditch them and try something new instead...?

Hi Jeddy, well done on your bookings already! I'm an on-site owner, 2 and a half years in now and still learning lots esp from this forum. Bedding - I strip the beds ASAP after guests have left even if I've a few days between bookings. I tend to make them up a couple of days before the next ones arr...

Hopefully, guests will be able to go and collect fresh eggs each day for their breakfast. At the risk of thread hijacking I'm guessing at the minute you're not inviting guests into your chicken run area Neal? The avian flu ban is still in place and I'm not allowing anyone (even my kids who usually ...

Are you sure you need the chimney lined? It's worth getting a second opinion as will save you plenty if you don't need it lining and you can then afford the REAL woodburner 😃
