Thanks, I'll look at the information. I just wanted something the same as Bookalet but a French version.

Hello Oasiscouple, Thanks for your reply. Our website does not have a reservation system built in. We built our own website so need to add the reservation system separately.

French reservation system for own website

I have searched the forum and not found any reference to anyone using a French reservation system for their own website. We use Bookalet for the English side but feel it would be useful to have one in French on the French side. Has anyone got any experience of, and recommendations? We are getting mo...

Hello Erica, thought I would add a bit about our place. We have a boulangerie and restaurant/bar within walking distance - a big bonus. Supermarket 10 mins drive. 2 pools - one for the main house with 6 bedrooms (12 people) and one for the 4 separate gites (max 12 people). Neither are heated and, if...

HomeAway multi-units

This is not exactly a new topic because there is one thread running in the Bookings section but thought it needed bringing up on here. HomeAway have turned off Rates and Calendars for all Multi-units (I am unsure whether this is just subscriptions or not). Apparently they were running an A/B test wh...

Just been on the HomeAway forum. They say that this issue has been resolved and that everyone should be able to see their rates and calendars again.
We still can not see ours.
They say that clearing cookies and cache will work - it doesn't.

We have had one or two reservations but nothing major yet.
OK, I've just been able to open it on Explorer - perhaps it's a Google Chrome issue.
Thanks for your replies.

Charme & Traditions website

We advertise on Charme-traditions.com but the website seems to have gone offline and ringing them today their phone number is not recognised.
Does anyone else advertise on this website? If so, are you having the same problem? Have they gone bust?

We find that the most questions come from the Americans. They want to know the size of the bed, size of the room and many others like this. When they arrive they are then well informed and apart from information about the tourist sites, they are usually not much trouble.

With regard to the music licence and Sacem. They sent us a bill which we paid the first time, something in the region of 170€. They sent a bill the second year for nearly double the amount. We questioned it and told them that it was not fair etc. etc. They eventually sent us credit notes that cancel...

We contacted the Office de Tourisme to arrange for them to visit us. I think we had to fill in some paperwork first. As we have 5 gites it was quite time consuming and cost a reasonable amount of money but it lasts 5 years. The man who came to see us was very nice (a lovely change!). It was well wor...

CFE

Isn't it amazing how looking for information on one subject leads you onto another! We have gites which are classified Meuble des Tourisme and have been paying CFE since we started in 2011. We were classified in 2014 to keep the 71/29% split for the tax. We don't pay Tax d'habitation. So, does anyon...
